“Up-and-coming bookie with heaps of racing features.”

I like what TempleBet has to offer and is one of the better new betting sites in my opinion. A lot of my time betting is spent on racing-related bets, so it was great to see just how many racing features and products they offer.
In terms of an overall experience, I found both the website and app to be fast-loading and it was easy to find the market I was looking for. There’s a good range of promotions available as well, so it’s easy to get more value for money.
If you’re on the hunt for a new bookie to bet with, I think TempleBet should be considered. I will go through every key aspect of the bookie in my TempleBet review, so you can make the decision for yourself.
My Score: 7.4/10
As long as you’re not into something really obscure, you’ll probably find what you are looking for at TempleBet. Their betting offering is quite standard, especially when you consider what the other new bookies offer. Their offering in terms of racing and sports is as follows:
The banking options leave a bit to be desired if I’m being honest. There aren’t a lot of options and while there are plenty of betting sites’ payment methods available, the options to choose from at TempleBet include debit cards and bank transfers.
It is important to remember, however, that TempleBet has only just kicked things off, so I would expect them to add more banking options in the future, as they grow. Hopefully, they can become one of the best PayID betting sites and PayPal betting sites going around in the future.
I’ve found that a lot of new betting sites are putting more emphasis on their mobile platforms and this is also the case with TempleBet. Their app is very responsible, providing a seamless experience and is essential for those who are always on the go.
The withdrawal speed is quite standard for new betting sites, but it doesn’t reach the same heights as some other bookies in the industry that have almost instant withdrawals. TempleBet Australia states on their website that withdrawals can take between one to three business days.
The overall user experience with TempleBet was a positive one. I didn’t encounter any major issues when I was exploring both the website and app. Some of the things that I liked the most about the user experience include:
The customer support is fairly basic and there are only two options available if you would like to reach out to the team. The good news is that live chat is one of those options! I think live chat is probably the best option because you usually can get a response faster.
You don’t have anything to worry about when it comes to TempleBet’s security. They have several security measures in place, like an SSL certificate, so your personal information is safe. They are also properly licensed in Australia, so they must adhere to all online gambling laws.
A note from OnlyRacing: Our expert writers perform in-depth research on each sportsbook to provide you with their professional, impartial opinion. However, when you click on certain links in the review and make a deposit, we may receive a commission (don't worry - this costs you nothing).
TempleBet Australia is a new bookie on the market and launched in late 2024. The betting site is owned by David McLauchlan and it uses the BetCloud software platform. This is the same platform that is used by a few other bookies in Australia, so you may see some similarities between them, for example, TitanBet and TempleBet are similar.
Betting sites like TempleBet are becoming quite popular, especially among racing bettors as they have a great racing product. A lot of their features, promotions and more are centred around racing. Their website and app provide a positive user experience and there are so many markets to choose from.
Racing holds a special place in my heart, so whenever I’m exploring a new bookie, I look to see what their racing product looks like. TempleBet has a great racing offering. So, if you are new to the world of horse racing and aren’t even sure about how to bet on horses, TempleBet is a great place to start.
Their racing product strikes a perfect balance for both casual and regular racing bettors, so there is something for everyone! I think the addition of something like live streaming could really push their racing offering over the top, but what they have right now is pretty good.
Some of the things I like about TempleBet’s racing product include:
They also offer quick insights, which can be helpful for those looking to place a last-minute bet. While more in-depth horse racing tips could be useful, you don’t have to worry too much about that because you can always get your tips from us at OnlyRacing.
There’s certainly no shortage of tips to find at OnlyRacing. We have tips for your multi-bets, Saturday horse racing tips and exotics tips. To sweeten the deal a little further, we have Group One race tips! Check out our Group One races list to see all the races that we cover.
In any TempleBet review, it is pretty important to take a deep dive into their app. So many people prefer to use betting apps over a website because it is much more convenient. The TempleBet app is freshly released and comes with all the bells and whistles you’d find on their website.
When I was exploring their app, I didn’t run into any issues and it was actually very easy for me to find what I wanted and get my bets sorted. The experience as a whole was quite seamless and the app loaded pretty fast.
For the TempleBet app, the things I liked the most include:
There’s a lot to like about TempleBet’s products and features and I thought I would touch on a few of the key ones that I enjoyed the most and that I think you will like as well. You’ll find that a lot of the products and features are similar to other betting sites that use the BetCloud software platform.
It would be great if they added live betting, but what they offer now is still comprehensive enough and includes:
TempleBet Australia’s betting markets, especially for racing, are certainly enough for your average bettor. You have markets like; fixed win, fixed place, blended, SRMs, quinella, exacta and more. There’s every chance that you will find the market you are looking for with TempleBet and the race you want to bet on as well.
For sports, I found that they don’t always have as many markets as some of the more established bookies in the market. If you’re not really into the obscure bet types, then you’ll more than likely find the market you want here though. I expect TempleBet will expand its sports offering in the future.
Some of the sports that are on offer at TempleBet to bet include:
Yes, TempleBet is a legit bookie to bet with. They are licensed in Australia and follow all the laws and regulations that they are legally required to. If they are found to be in breach of any laws or regulations, they could face serious consequences, like fines or more.
The deposit options that are available at TempleBet are quite limited at this stage. When depositing you can use your debit card, which is one of the more popular options for Australians, but with TempleBet, it is your only option.
Unfortunately, no Australian bookie, like TempleBet, can offer sign-up bonuses. Regulations introduced almost a decade ago prohibit the use of inducements for new customers. It’s a different story for existing customers though.
TempleBet has a range of promotions available for both racing and sports. If you would like to see more about what’s available to you, you should log in to your account. TempleBet isn’t able to showcase all their promotions on their platform unless you’ve logged in (and therefore proved you are an existing customer).
Placing a bet with TempleBet is very easy. Firstly, find the sport you wish to bet on and then select the specific event. From there, you will see a range of markets and then you simply click on your desired market and enter your stake. Confirm your bet and then you’re all set!
With any bookie, betting bonuses are one of the top things people look for, so it was only fair that I created this section in my TempleBet review! As I previously mentioned, you have to log in to see exactly what promotions and bonuses are available.
When I logged in to check, there was a solid range of promotions, which I was happy about. So, it’s easy to pick up some good value for money here, but I wouldn’t say their level of promotions is up to some of the other more established bookies.
It is important to remember though, they are only a new bookie, so I would expect them to beef up their range of promotions in the future, to cater for a wider audience. To see what’s available to you, head to the “Promos” page (after you’ve logged in).
If you want to understand the type of promotions and bonuses that are available with other bookies on the market, our full list of online bookmakers is a place you can find bookie reviews, like our PlayUp review, Bet365 review or our EliteBet review, for example.
I believe that TempleBet nails the sign-up process. It is quick and easy, only taking a couple of minutes to complete the entire process. On top of this, there is even a step where you can set a deposit limit, which shows just how seriously they take responsible gambling.
The first step is to fill in your personal details like your email, name, address, date of birth, etc. You will then be asked if you want to set a deposit limit. After that has been set up, you’ll be directed to the deposit page to make your first deposit.
Depositing is a seamless process with TempleBet Australia. The first thing you should do is head to your account. From there, find the “Deposit” tab. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to add your debit card details.
Once that is set up, you can choose how much you want to deposit and confirm the deposit by pressing the “Deposit Now” button. Unless there is a rare issue, you’ll see the funds in your TempleBet account almost instantly.
For withdrawals, there are limited options. In fact, there is just one (but it is the most popular method in Australia), which is a bank transfer. Just like with depositing, head to your account and then from there find the “Withdrawal” tab from the left-hand side menu.
Make sure you have your bank details already set up and once it is you can choose how much you would like to withdraw. TempleBet states that it usually takes anywhere between one to three business days for your funds to hit your bank account.
Customer service is an important part of any bookmaker, so I felt it was important to explore how the bookie stacks up in this TempleBet review! When compared to some of the more established bookies, there aren’t a lot of options. There isn’t a phone number available where you can call and speak to a member of the customer service team.
The two available options include:
After comparing the odds of some upcoming events, I found that TempleBet Australia does hold its weight. They may not necessarily be offering the best odds all of the time, but their odds are competitive and rarely at the bottom of the pile.
I always recommend shopping around for the best odds if you have the time because you never know where you can snag a little bit of extra value. TempleBet’s odds for racing, in particular, were pretty decent.
