I like the form of Ersa for Race 5 at Caulfield Heath on Thursday. Won at Caulfield Heath over 1500m on December 4. In winning form, don't look past it.

THE DANGER - #3 - Keep Your Cool
Last run, took down Inevitable Award (59kg) over 1400m at Werribee (starting price: $2.40). I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Keep Your Cool to get the win on Thursday, especially from barrier 9 with Jett Stanley in the saddle.

VALUE BET - #1 - Soaring Eagle
She’s been around for a while (9 years), so she has experience under her belt. Last race, she finished 2nd at Morphettville and she usually likes the 1500m distance. Could be in the mix.

BEST BET - #10 - Vienna Vixen - (NEXT BEST)
Due for a win and this could be the right race. She comes off back to back 4th placings. She rode 1500m last start so that should give confidence going for the same trip again. Should be dangerous.

THE DANGER - #6 - Ziryab
Resuming on Thursday. Usually runs well fresh, which includes a win first-up before over 1600m. Should eat up the 1500m. Came 2nd in a jumpout as well.

VALUE BET - #5 - One Long Day
He’s in great form and offers great value for punters. He’s coming off 3 wins in 4 starts to kick off his racing career. So he knows how to get the job done. Comes off a nice win at the Valley over 1523m and should enjoy the trip on Thursday.

BEST BET - #3 - Marble Arch
In its last race at Caulfield Heath on December 14, it came out on top with a winning margin of 0.8 lengths. It was carrying 52kg and held off Warnie (55kg), which was pretty good to watch at $7.00 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race.

THE DANGER - #2 - Riot And Rose
I like the look of Riot And Rose in Race 7 at Caulfield Heath on Thursday. Previously won at Werribee over 1600m, carrying 54kg. That was a really good win, so I think Riot And Rose should be tough to beat on Thursday too. The trends say this runner should be a good bet in this race.

VALUE BET - #7 - Sassy Boom
Jett Stanley was on board last run and won over 1500m at Caulfield Heath. So I think that's a good form guide for Thursday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight.
