Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 05/12/24

Enjoy the horse racing action with my Thursday horse racing best bets. Gallant Prince has caught my eye in Race 7 at Geelong. I also like the look of So Outrageousin Race 7 at Townsville. The track conditions at Geelong are looking good for racing, the track is a good 4 at this stage. The track is rated a good 5 for racing at Townsville on Thursday. Let's get into it!

Gallant Prince showed form on November 8 at Pakenham, placing 2nd out of 12 in a BM64 on a good track, just 0.1 lengths behind Rubology (60.5kg) with 59.5kg at $3.10. After that race, I think Gallant Prince can potentially improve and possibly get the win this time. He has 2 runs under his belt second-up and finished 2nd on both occasions, so this could be the race. Likes dry conditions, he’s finished in the top 2 in 6 of 8 starts on good tracks in his career. All in all, I think this runner has a good chance of taking this race or at least running a place.

I'm a big fan of So Outrageous in Race 7 at Townsville on Thursday. On November 23, won over 1300m at Barcaldine, carrying 58kg. That was a solid win, so I believe that So Outrageous could get the win on Thursday as well. Before that, So Outrageous finished first at Clermont in a BM50 on November 16, 2024, over 1400m. Very good stats when it's racing at this 1400m distance. Not a lot of queries with this one, it should be able to beat this field or run a place, good each-way bet.

The Group 1 races 2024 continue this Saturday with some key races at Randwick in NSW and Ascot, WA. The Ingham takes place at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday over 1600m and there is 2 million in prize money up for grabs. Meanwhile, the Northerly Stakes is the feature race of the day at Ascot.
