Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 10/01/25

I have horse racing best bets of the day to enjoy for Friday's racing at Newcastle and Pakenham. Summer Soiree has caught my eye in Race 7 at Newcastle. Meanwhile, my roughie of the day is Mohnar at Pakenham in Race 7. The track conditions at Newcastle are looking decent for racing, the track is a soft 7 so it's recommended to bet on runners that like soft conditions. The track conditions at Pakenham are looking good for racing, the track is a good 4 at this stage. Let's get into it!

I like the form of Summer Soiree for Race 7 at Newcastle on Friday. Won at Wyong over 1300m on December 21. Before that, Summer Soiree finished first at Hawkesbury in a maiden on December 8, 2024 over 1100m. Very good record at the track, watch out for it on Friday. All in all, I think this runner has the best chance of winning this race, the field looks a bit weak.

Beau Mertens was on board last run and won over 1200m at Seymour. So I think that's a good form guide for Friday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight. Before that, Mohnar finished first at Geelong in an Mdn on November 27, 2024, over 1300m. Likes running in dry conditions. Third-up record is good too and she should be at peak fitness on Friday afternoon. Her distance record is quite nice as well, she’s yet to finish outside the top 3 in 3 career starts.
