Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 19/07/24

OnlyRacing has you covered for Friday horse racing action at Tamworth and Mildura. We have your best bet of the day as well as a cheeky roughie. Outback Ringer has caught my eye in Race 4 at Tamworth. Also, for my roughie bet, I've got my eye on Red Rowie in Race 6 at Mildura. At Tamworth on Friday, the track is rated a soft 7 at this stage so should be decent conditions for racing. It will be a soft 7 at Mildura on Friday, so take that into account when you're playing bets. Let's get into it!

Best Tip: Outback Ringer #7 Tamworth R4

Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Scone, he showed us exactly what he's made of. With Ben Looker in the saddle, he's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Before that, Outback Ringer finished first at Tamworth in a BM66 on March 10, 2024 over 1200m. Good stats at the distance too, bodes well for Friday. Doesn't mind running fourth-up as Outback Ringer has proven success when it's in this situation. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.

Best Roughie: Red Rowie #7 Mildura R6

Resuming on Friday. Has a positive first-up record in its career. I like the look of Red Rowie in Race 6 at Mildura on Friday. Previously won at Camperdown over 1400m, carrying 58kg. That was a really good win, so I think Red Rowie should be tough to beat on Friday too. Before that, Red Rowie finished first at Stawell in a Barrier Trial-Class 2 on January 11, 2024 over 1000m. Distance shouldn't be an issue either, loves running 1400m. Good odds at PlayUp, Chasebet or Questbet for an each-way bet.

Stats and Insights

Tamworth Racecourse is a very circular track and as such it is very important to find the fence as you will continue to lose lengths as each distance features at least two turns on the course.
The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
Mildura is quite an even track in terms of barrier draws with most offering an even chance of winning.
