Whitsunday Session showed some promise at Rockhampton last time. In it's last start, Whitsunday Session placed 3rd out of 11 in a Cls 1 on July 13 over 1100m, on a soft track, just 1.5 lengths behind Everlasting Stars (59kg) with 55kg at $2.70. Previously, 1st of 5 at Rockhampton Barrier Trial-Class 1 on July 1, 2024 over 900m. Has a 50% career win rate so it knows how to win. Loves the distance and I hope that continues over the 1100m. Plenty of winning form on wet tracks. Should enjoy running first-up as has been the case in it's career. In winning form, don't look past it.

The Geelong course proper is known as a track that gives every horse its chance as the circumference is 2043 metres with a straight distance of 400 metres.
The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
