Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 06/07/24

Follow along with me for the best free horse racing tips on race day! Saturday's racing action takes us to Flemington and Randwick and I have found a best bet for you at betting sites in Australia. There's also a juicy roughie to get on board. I like the look of Press Down at Flemington in Race 7. I also like the look of With Your Blessingin Race 9 at Randwick. The track is rated a good 5 for racing at Flemington on Saturday. There's been a lot of rain around the track recently so the track is a heavy 9 at the moment. Let's get into it!

Best Tip: Press Down #7 Flemington R7

Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Swan Hill, he showed us exactly what he's made of. With Neil Farley in the saddle, he's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Before that, Press Down finished first at Murray Bridge Gh in a BM82 on May 25, 2024 over 1200m. Should enjoy the distance (1200m). Fourth-up should not be a problem for this horse. In winning form, don't look past it.

Stats and Insights

Flemington's long straight track can sometimes favour horses drawn towards the inside or outside of the track, depending on the rail position and prevailing track conditions. Betting on horses that suit the current track bias can be advantageous.
The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
Randwick is a very wide track with a good run-in that makes it one of the fairest tracks around. It’s hard to say backmarkers are advantaged, but they are the closest thing to advantaged at Randwick Racecourse.
