Find the best free horse racing tips and best bets for Saturday's racing at Flemington and Rosehill. I like the look of Growing Empire at Flemington in Race 4. Also, for my roughie bet, I've got my eye on Whinchat in Race 9 at Rosehill. The track is rated a good 5 for racing at Flemington on Saturday. At Rosehill, the track conditions should be nice for race day, it's a good 4 rating at the moment. Let's get into it!

Best Tip: Growing Empire #1 Flemington R4

Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Caulfield, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Mark Zahra in the saddle, it's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Before that, Growing Empire finished first at Morphettville in an Open on April 27, 2024, over 1200m. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.

Best Roughie: Whinchat #15 Rosehill R9

Whinchat took down Kintyre over 1207m at Warwick Farm in its last run. I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Whinchat to get the win on Saturday, especially from barrier 6 with Jay Ford in the saddle. Before that, Whinchat finished first at Rosehill in a Barrier Trial-Open on August 6, 2024, over 1030m. Decent win rate in its career. Decent top 3 record at the track, should be right up there in the finish. First-up form looks good with 2 wins in 4 starts.

Stats and Insights

  • Flemington's long straight track can sometimes favour horses drawn towards the inside or outside of the track, depending on the rail position and prevailing track conditions. Betting on horses that suit the current track bias can be advantageous.
  • It has been noted by stewards and sharp punters recently that being on pace and close to the rail has been the best place/places to be at Rosehill in recent times, a track that is known to change every couple months in terms of bias so take good note of that.
  • The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.

Best Racing Promotions

There is plenty of live racing action this week and it’s all headlined by the Makybe Diva Stakes Day on Saturday at Flemington Racecourse. With the Spring Racing Carnival in full swing, there is no better time to take advantage of betting sites bonuses. If you’re looking for a new bookie or some of the best promos, I think Palmerbet is a good option this week.

They have money back offers as well as price push (boosted odds), price protect and protest payout. Price protect is an interesting feature at Palmerbet. It allows you to get the best payout between fixed odds and top tote, so whichever price is higher. That’s pretty cool. Along with boosted odds, I think you should be able to get some of the best odds in the industry at this site. They also have a decent mobile app, a huge range of betting markets for racing in Australia and overseas, exotics, speedmaps and more. I think they’re a perfect option for Racing betting.

The promos and offers won’t last long so it’s important to get in early. Enjoy the thoroughbred racing around Australia with Palmerbet this week. I hope you can back a winner or two!
