Yorkshire has been super impressive in his short career and let’s hope that he can continue that on Saturday at the track. He comes off back to back wins at this track, both were on a heavy track. The good track conditions are a query as he hasn’t raced on it before. But I think his knowledge of the track should be enough. He also loves the 1300m trip, he has 2 wins from just 3 starts. Kerrin McEvoy is in the saddle for the first time and that should give them an advantage from the 5 Barrier.

Resuming on Saturday and he is due for a first-up win. In 4 career starts after a spell, he has placed 2nd in 3 of 4. So this could be the race. On August 10 at Moonee Valley in a BM78 over 2500m, Perfect Play started slow and finished 12 out of 15, while carrying 58kg at $6.50 odds. However, I think this race is more suitable and it should be able to put in a better showing. Previously, 3rd of 10 at Rosehill BM78 on July 20, 2024 over 2400m. Loves the distance and I hope that continues over the 1600m. Likes dry conditions, rates highly.
