Follow along with me for the best free horse racing tips on race day! Saturday's racing action takes us to Flemington and Randwick and I have found a best bet for you at betting sites in Australia. There's also a juicy roughie to get on board. The Black Cloud has caught my eye in Race 9 at Flemington. I also like the look of Strait Acer in Race 8 at Randwick. The track conditions at Flemington are looking good for racing, the track is a good 4 at this stage. Randwick is rated a soft 6 at the moment. Let's get into it!

Best Tip: The Black Cloud #2 Flemington R9

Third-up on Saturday. In good form and has strong claims to win on Saturday. Last start was a good one, placing 2nd in a BM78 at Randwick over 1000m. Previously, 1st of 13 at Randwick BM78 on May 25, 2024 over 1000m. Loves the distance with 2 wins from 2 starts thus far. Has had success before in dry conditions so the track conditions should suit. Also, came 2nd before when it was third-up so the bodes well for Saturday's race. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues. Goods odds across the board at PlayUp, Chasebet or Questbet.

Best Roughie: Strait Acer #4 Randwick R8

On May 25 at Doomben in a Open over 1350m, Strait Acer started slow and finished 8th out of 15, while carrying 57kg at $12.00 odds. Previously, 4th of 12 at Rockhampton Open on April 28, 2024 over 1300m. But this race should be more suitable. Loves the track having finished 1st or 2nd in 4 of 7 career starts. Also, excellent at the distance having won twice and placed in all 5 career starts. Good odds to have a crack each-way.

Stats and Insights

  • Flemington's long straight track can sometimes favour horses drawn towards the inside or outside of the track, depending on the rail position and prevailing track conditions. Betting on horses that suit the current track bias can be advantageous.
  • Randwick is a very wide track with a good run-in that makes it one of the fairest tracks around. It’s hard to say backmarkers are advantaged, but they are the closest thing to advantaged at Randwick Racecourse.
  • The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
