Sir Ravanelli looks very well placed here to make his second start of the campaign a winning one and I think he comes in at a nice price for this assignment. He resumed off of a long 26 week spell at Warwick Farm a few weeks back where he had to endure a tough run, doing things deep and out wide with no cover but he just kept finding the line well in the straight and kept chasing to be strong through the line. He will have gotten a lot fitter off of that run and has an undefeated second up record (two from two) so i think with that in hand he should be very tough to beat here.

I quite like the look of Mitch Payne’s Lonrik in this field and he presents at a nice price here. He last stepped out over the Mile at Seymour where he did plenty of work in the run after knuckling at the start and still foundplenty to take over at the 300m, look the winner and just peak a bit too early to be overrun by the exacta in that race late. There’s already been a subsequent winner emerge from that race and he’s had a nice tick over trial at Avoca between runs. He gets a claimer aboard for the ride and draws a nice gate, I think he is overs in this field.
