Last time out at Doomben, Amazing Eagle was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think it's got a more favourable draw, which should give it a better shot. With that advantage, this horse is definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In its last start, Amazing Eagle was 56.5kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Street Chase (56.5kg) over 1200m after being right in the thick of things around the corner. Should enjoy the distance (1200m). Likes running in dry conditions. All in all, I think this runner has a good chance of taking this race or at least running a place.

Mean Feat showed some form at Geelong last time. In its last start, Mean Feat placed 3rd out of 8 in a BM64 on December 13 over 1343m, on a good track, just 2.8 lengths behind Apparatus (61kg) with 61kg at $7.50. Previously, 2nd of 9 at Ballarat Synthetic BM64 on August 2, 2024, over 1400m. Very good stats when it's racing at this 1200m distance. In winning form, don't look past it.
