Princess Rayaa is going to be very hard to beat here for the Maher and Eustace camp. She ran for the first time in twenty five weeks last time out a fortnight ago at the same track and trip that she goes out at today and finished just behind the placegetters there in a luckless and tough run. Natural improvement second up should carry her very well for this assignment. Tim Clark jumps aboard which is a plus and she is free running which should see her in good stead from the inside draw where she can slide forward and lead or sity handy. Happy to be in her corner.

Best Roughie: Doomben - R7 - #11 - Kermantic
Mick Dunn puts forward Kinetic who is stepping up to this grade looking very well poised to complete the hat trick on the bounce coming to this track for the first time off the back of two dominant wins in BM58 grade. The fist of which was a super classy effort which saw him posted wide all run and still had plenty in hand to salute dominantly before going to Murwillumbah where he raced keenly to get the lead and it was a walk in the park for him from there, clearing the field by a few lengths and never being in doubt. He strikes a proper challenge here but I expect him to have what it takes to be competitive.

Stats and Insights
- Canterbury Racecourse is a much narrower racecourse than the majority of the other NSW courses, as such it favours rails in runners and those that can be up on the pace for the majority of its distance ranges due to this tight turning aspect.
- Doomben Racecourse is a small track relative to the other forefront tracks in the country with a circumference of 1715m and a straight of only 350m. For distances less than 1600m it is almost imperative that they are near the speed as there aren't many furlongs to make up in the home straight.
- It is generally much easier to bet at Doomben at these local meetings / out of season meetings as during the season we see mostly horses on the road with form from different states and tracks, as such it positions us well for this midweek meeting to pick up a few winners.
