Exacta - Ballarat - R4
1st: 2, 1, 5, 3
2nd: 2, 1, 5, 3
Extreme Virtue: Last run, took down Mornington Pier (59kg) over 1400m at Bendigo (starting price: $2.80). I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Extreme Virtue to get the win on Friday, especially from barrier 4 with Dakotah Keane in the saddle.
Duvach: Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Geelong, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Luke Cartwright in the saddle, it's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again.
Fayetta: Last race, placed 3rd of 8 at Sandown-Hillside in a BM64 over 1600m, just 6.1 lengths behind Heavenly Eagle (59.5kg) carrying 57kg at $7.00. Has been good before when it's first-up.
She's Ternacious: Last run, it finished 3rd at Geelong over 1525m. Should be right in the thick of things. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.
Exacta - Ballarat - R6
1st: 11, 4, 6, 3
2nd: 11, 4, 6, 3
Reserve Bank: With Currie on board last start, won at Cranbourne Training (800m). So hopefully that form continues into Friday's race. On Friday, Luke Currie is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. Previous success running first-up in its career and should enjoy the racing conditions at Ballarat.
Honor Galore: Finished 4th on September 4 at Sandown-Hillside. That should be a good form guide for this race.
Mr Assertive: Mr Assertive is first-up on Friday. In its last race at Seymour on April 19, it came out on top with a winning margin of 3.0 lengths. It was carrying 59kg and held off Laminar (57kg), Should be in the mix.
Geminga: In the recent outing for Geminga at Murray Bridge, it came in third, not far behind the leaders. Now that he's fitter, he's got a solid chance of finishing in the top three again. I think Craig Williams knows how to handle Geminga too. Likes running second-up, good record.
Exacta - Newcastle - R7
1st: 17, 1, 11, 13
2nd: 17, 1, 11, 13
Bear On The Loose: Just finished behind the places in it's last start, finishing 4th out of 6 on September 9. So I think it can improve after that run and should be fitter here.
Here To Shock: Last race at Caulfield, Here To Shock was right up there in the finish, just placing second. He showed some speed and battled on fairly well. In this race, I think it's got another suitable draw, which should make it tough to beat. In its last start, Here To Shock (60.5kg) and ended up placing 2nd, just behind Another Wil (60.5kg) over 1400m and was right up there.
Chorlton Lane: Last start, finished 3rd of 13 at Goulburn in an Open over 1400m, just 1.3 lengths behind St Lawrence (56.5kg) carrying 57.5kg at $6.00. Previous success running first-up in it's career and should enjoy the racing conditions at Newcastle.
St Lawrence: Last time out, this horse made a late surge and finished a close second over 1400m at Goulburn, just behind the winner Green Shadows (54kg). Is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat.
