Betting apps are gearing up for a busy day on Saturday as thoroughbred racing continues across the country. They'll be at Sandown, Rosehill and Belmont and I've got you covered with some exacta bets. Enjoy!
Best Exotic Tips of the Day | 28/09/24
Exacta - Sandown - R7
1st: 11, 5, 1, 2
2nd: 11, 5, 1, 2
Craig: I like the look of Craig in Race 7 at Sandown on Saturday. Previously won at Caulfield over 1400m, carrying 57.5kg. That was a really good win, so I think Craig should be tough to beat on Saturday too. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.
Nicolini Vito: Last time out at Flemington, Nicolini Vito was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think it's got a more favourable draw, which should give it a better shot. With that advantage, this horse is definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In its last start, Nicolini Vito was 55.5kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Chrysaor (54kg) over 1400m after being right in the thick of things around the corner.
Desert Lightning: Last race, placed 3rd of 7 at Moonee Valley in an Open over 1200m, just 1.1 lengths behind Arkansaw Kid (55kg) carrying 61kg at $11.00. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.
Griff: Last start, Griff was 5th of 10 at Flemington on September 14 over 1200m on a heavy track, 2.9 lengths behind Arkansaw Kid (53.5kg) with 58kg at $21.00. But it should improve here. Doesn't mind running third-up, good record thus far.
Exacta - Rosehill - R7
1st: 2, 4, 6, 1
2nd: 2, 4, 6, 1
Amelia's Jewel: Last race, Amelia's Jewel ran a place (2nd) at Randwick over 1400m with Tommy Berry on board, just finishing behind the winner (Royal Patronage (55kg)). Should get a lot of confidence from that run and should be a good bet again. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
Semana: In its latest run at Randwick Open on August 24, it held its ground and snagged 4th place out of 12, not too bad. Likes running on heavy tracks and should challenge Amelia's Jewel.
Makarena: In its last run, Makarena placed 4th at Rosehill on September 14 over 1200m, just 2.4 lengths behind Mumbai Muse (55kg). I think it can run well here too.
Tropical Squall: Has been good before when it's second-up and likes the distance with 2 wins in 4 starts.
Exacta - Belmont - R8
1st: 9, 10, 5, 6
2nd: 9, 10, 5, 6
Searchin' Roc's: I'm a big fan of Searchin' Roc's in Race 8 at Belmont on Saturday. On August 24, won over 1300m at Belmont Park, carrying 57kg. That was a solid win, so I believe that Searchin' Roc's can win on Saturday as well. In winning form, don't look past it.
Frigid: Last race was a 3rd place finish at Belmont Park over 1200m.
Phanta: Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Belmont Park with Parnham in the saddle. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
Aztec Ruler: Resuming on Saturday. Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 8 in the BM78+ at Belmont Park on June 1. That race was over 1400m on a soft track and it came in 0.2 lengths behind Pompey (59.5kg). Definitely among the winning chances.
