Best Exotic Bets of the Day | 09/01/25

The races continue on Thursday and Onlyracing is here to give you some free Australian horse racing tips to enjoy. In this one, I'm discussing 3 races and 4 runners per race that I think will finish in the top two.

1st: 2, 1, 4, 3

2nd: 2, 1, 4, 3

Regina D'italia: Shinny was on board last run and won over 1000m at Terang. So I think that's a good form guide for Thursday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight.

Lunar Module: Ready to win now. Finished second last start with Beau Mertens on board at Seymour.

Tornado's Sister: On December 28 at Cranbourne in a Cls 1 over 1000m, Tornado's Sister started slow and finished 5th out of 6, while carrying 58kg at $3.10 odds. However, I think this race is more suitable and it should be able to put in a better showing.

Nouveau: Last start, beat Sophast (59.5kg) at Yarra Glen over 1000m at the starting price of $2.70. That was a good win and I like Nouveau on Thursday too, especially with Daniel Moor on board from barrier 3.

Porter: Last start, finished 3rd of 11 at Werribee in a BM64 over 1400m, just 2.8 lengths behind Inevitable Award (59kg) carrying 60kg at $4.40.

Tournelle: Last start, Tournelle was 5th of 11 at G B - Newcastle on February 4 over 1609m on a synthetic track, 4.0 lengths behind Las Ramblas (56kg) with 56kg at $2.88. But it should improve here.

Hollywood Ace: Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Seymour with Beau Mertens in the saddle.

Powerful Torque: Coming off a win at this track and could make it back to back wins. Likes this distance and good track conditions.

Shine Like It Does: In its recent race at Goulburn, Shine Like It Does came in third, not too far behind 1st and 2nd. After that run, it should have a good chance of running a place in this race. Mathew Cahill is in good form and should be able to get a good run.

Over To Win: Over To Win showed form on December 27 at Canberra , placing 2nd out of 10 in a Mdn on a good track, just 2.3 lengths behind Maracaibo Sun (57.5kg) with 55.5kg at $7.50. After that race, I think Over To Win can potentially improve and possibly get the win this time.

Hot Toddy: Last run, it finished 3rd at Benalla over 1106m. Should be right in the thick of things.

Launch Mode: Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 12 in the Mdn at Wagga Riverside on December 24. That race was over 1200m on a good track and it came in 1.2 lengths behind Miss Fennell (57kg). Definitely among the winning chances.
