Zouripper: Schofield was on board last run and won over 1200m at Canterbury. So I think that's a good form guide for Thursday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight. Looked good first-up and should be even fitter now.

Trapeze Pleasure: Ready to win now. Finished second last start with Jaden Lloyd on board at Wyong.

Capital Heart: Last race was a 3rd place finish at Hawkesbury over 1000m.

Last Straw: Previously, it finished 5th of 9 at Rosehill in a Barrier Trial-Open on July 12, 2024 over 900m, 4.9 lengths behind Misty Legend. But could run a place.

The New Sinatra: In its recent race at Randwick, The New Sinatra came in third, not too far behind 1st and 2nd. After that run, it should have a good chance of running a place in this race. Tommy Berry is in good form and should be able to get a good run. Fourth-up should not be a problem for this horse.

Joiselle: Last time this horse hit the track, Joiselle put in a better effort, and that's something to take note of for Thursday's race. With Braith Nock riding, you know that Joiselle has got a jockey who can handle business. Previous success running first-up in it's career and should enjoy the racing conditions at Newcastle.

Crop Duster: Last start, finished 3rd of 11 at Muswellbrook in a Open over 1280m, just 0.7 lengths behind Our Bambino (57kg) carrying 55kg at $6.00. I think its a real genuine each way chance.

There There: In its last run, There There placed 4th at Canterbury on July 24 over 1250m, just 3.8 lengths behind Flying Destiny (60kg). I think it can run well here too.

Prince Of Byron: Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 9 in the Barrier Trial-Open at Hamilton on August 6. That race was over 1400m on a heavy track and it came in 8.5 lengths behind Bellakai. Definitely among the winning chances. Has had success when running second-up, so I like its chances on Thursday.

Wise Legend: Wise Legend showed some promise at Warrnambool last time. In it's last start, Wise Legend placed 3rd out of 13 in a BM58 on July 23 over 2000m, on a heavy track, just 2.8 lengths behind Idon'Tgetit (60kg) with 58.5kg at $4.20. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

Olympic Theatre: Last start, Olympic Theatre was 5th of 6 at Murtoa on July 27 over 2050m on a heavy track, 7.9 lengths behind Whozyadeeler (52kg) with 54kg at $5.00. But it should improve here.

No Matter What: In good form and has strong claims to win on Thursday. Last start was a good one, placing 2nd in a RST58 at Hamilton over 2200m. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
