Friday Racing Tips - Moonee Valley Racecourse 01/12/23

A half a million dollar card is set to take place at Moonee Valley this Friday night and we have some very high level and competitive races on the card with eight races set for tomorrow and I have gone through the card and picked out my three best betting spots of the day, I am quite excited for this card so follow me below as I run through tomorrow night’s racing at The Valley!

BEST BET - #3 - So Glamorous 
So Glamorous has had just the one run to kick off his career but it is hard to ignore him here based on the time and the way that he won when on debut with no public trials prior. He stepped out for the Begg stable at Ballarat at the beginning of the month when tracking the speed before angling off in the straight and thundering to the line to win very well there. Natural improvement and added fitness second up should se him go well here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Juggle 
The current running favourite in Juggle has to rate as a chance to make it back to back wins for the Godolphin stable third up here. He debuted at the end of last month before stepping out a couple weeks ago over this trip at Ballarat where he took over at the top of the straight and was very strong through the line when winning there. He did seem to want longer off of that but the stable rarely places their runners without consideration.

VALUE BET  - #4 - Appleby (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
Appleby has had just the two career starts for the Eurell stable but based off of the way he returned to racing last time out I find it hard to knock him here. He came off of a 24 week break from racing at Geelong over the 1100m last time out when finding the rails to lead and never letting going. Fitter, out in trip, can make an impact at big odds.

BEST BET - #4 - Let Fly (NEXT BEST)
I am quite keen on Let Fly and is one of the bets I am looking forward to the most on this card. He’s had two runs in this time for the Cumani stable and has been very close in both, only going down late into the placings to smart horses. His most recent run came at this track when running right up on the speed and taking the lead to only go down in the last 50m. He will be fitter and sharper for that run now and Gaudray is a master with front runners. Keen.

THE DANGER - #1 - Starianne 
Starianne is taking a little drop off in competition albeit staying in the same grade she does come back from Saturday racing and should be competitive here third up as she has been third up in the past. She won a 1400m Pakenham race first up before racing at Flemington last time out when improving through the run from deep to place midfield. Hard fit third up now and ready to win again.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Aria Electra
I can’t knock Aria Electra the way she has been going and as long as there is still steam in the tank here she will make an impression. She’s had a few runs this time in and has been excellent in her last three. After winning three back she has recorded two runner up placings at Sale and then Moonee Valley last time out over this trip where she was just swamped on the line but looked the winner a long way. Can threaten here.

BEST BET - #5 - Fullproof (BEST BET)
Hard to see anything being able to roll Anthony and Sam Freedman’s Fullproof who hasn’t put a bad effort in in his three career starts thus far, placing and then winning one last prep and then coming off the back of an 18 week spell at Ballarat last time out when showing he’s up to it and finishing a very close runner up where he looked the winner the majority of the way. His rating is a fair bit above these off of that and he should be winning here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Lady Tino
Beware the unbeaten horse. Lady Tino has won all her four career starts thus far and the stable has smartly got a claimer engaged for this ride which brings her into this at 60kg instead of 63kg. Her two wins this time in have both been impressive, when winning off of a 41 week break at Kilmore before racing at Mornington over the 1500m last time out and getting the job done again. Toughest contest he has faced now but should be up to it.

VALUE BET - #2 - Test The Law
Test The Law has really clicked up in his last couple runs and I think looks well placed here now for the Seyers stable. His last run came at Morphetville when sitting second along the rails over this trip and powering home in the straight to put a gap on the rest of the field bar a very impressive all the way winner in Apache Star who looks to be onto bigger races now. Well placed.
