Maiden handicaps such as these are on the card to enable a horse to break its duck and Hellinda looks to be in prime position here. This horse had looked the part in recent showings, without managing to get the job done and whilst it won't be easy, Hellinda should deliver for connections.

THE DANGER - Petawawa - $4.60
It has been the best part of a year since Petawawa was last seen on the track but it could be ready to rock once again here. Form prior to the break was patchy at best but it comes from good stock and should challenge in this one.

VALUE BET - I'm Unique - $6.50
Debutants will always have a chance in a race like this and I'm Unique has the hallmarks of a first time runner that should be bang in the mix. Conditions and the trip should suit and in this open contest, it could be a value bet.

BEST BET - Bide Your Time - $2.10
With one win on the card, here at Wagga, betting against Bide Your Time in this one feels a little foolish. Conditions are exactly the same, it only needs to find another 100m and it should be absolutely fine over 1300m.

THE DANGER - Fire Your Guns - $5.50
Having been well beaten by Bide Your Time last time out, Fire Your Guns has had its wings clipped a touch and this could be a tough challenge. However, this horse is resolute and could find a big performance.

VALUE BET - Sydney Gal - $8.50
Form has been very good from Sydney Gal of late and fresh off the back of a second place finish in a similar field, why couldn't Sydney Gal challenge here? It would need a very big run but it has been capable of producing the goods before.

BEST BET - Flying Flossy - $3.60
Winning last time out is a huge tick in the box for Flying Flossy, a horse that can run hot and cold but who came out firing at Canterbury last time out and who is the one to beat on current form.

THE DANGER - Lord Finland - $3.80
The only horse to keep pace in that contest was Lord Finland and it will lay down the gauntlet once again here. It didn't lose by much at Canterbury in December and it should be out to get revenge in this one.

VALUE BET - Our Frankie - $13.00
With the top two in the betting so far ahead, it may feel futile getting on board Our Frankie here but it has won well at Wagga in the past and with some serious quality in the tank, it could come good in this one at long odds.
