Ascot - Race 2 - Liberties Insurance Plate - 1100m

Selections:
4. Golden Vale - $2.90
2. London's Image - $4.50
6. Desert Whisper - $6.00

BEST BET - Golden Vale - $2.90
Form has been very good of late for Golden Vale and this feels like another big chance to land here for connections. The 1100m trip will suit at Ascot and provided it can find a route through, it should contend.

THE DANGER - London's Image - $4.50
This compact field at Ascot throws plenty of contenders into the mix and London's Image is one of them. A proven performer at this level and it too won't be far away.

VALUE BET - Desert Whisper - $6.00
Plenty of outside contenders align but Desert Whisper is perhaps the absolute pick of them. A horse in good form and who too should relish the 1100m going but it will need to go up a gear to win this one.

Ascot - Race 5 - Drummond Golf Stakes - 2100m

Selections:
2. Rocking Society - $2.20
5. Stormageddon - $4.40
3. Noteworthy - $6.50

BEST BET - Rocking Society - $2.20
Arguably one of the best contests of the day comes here in race 5 at Ascot and Rocking Society is the one to catch. Winning last time out has made it the favourite and it should be able to back that performance up here.

THE DANGER - Stormageddon - $4.40
Another horse with strong calibre is Stormageddon and it knows its way around this Ascot track better than most. 2100m may be a question mark but there is no reason why it can't be in the mix here.

VALUE BET - Noteworthy - $6.50
Chris Parnham could prove to be an inspired booking on Noteworthy, a horse that just hasn't been able to get over the line of late. This will be a good chance to rectify that though, in favourable conditions.

Ascot - Race 9 - Belhus Racing Stables Handicap - 1800m

Selections:
6. Why Me - $3.80
9. Antique Dream - $4.20
3. I Dreamed A Dream - $15.00

BEST BET - Why Me - $3.80
The scene looks set for Why Me to get over the line here at Ascot in the closing race of the day and it should be able to cope with the 1800m trip. There are plenty in the mix but Why Me should lead the way.

THE DANGER - Antique Dream - $4.20
Trainer Michael Grantham has Antique Dream in fine fettle in this one and it should lay down a strong challenge to the market leaders, making it one to watch.

VALUE BET - I Dreamed A Dream - $15.00
Despite no real form to speak of I Dreamed A Dream is a more than capable horse in this company and it looks to be a touch overpriced in some circles, making it a genuine contender.
