Saturday Racing Tips - Flemington 08/06/24

Flemington rarely lets punters or bookmakers down and there is a very handy 9-race card in the offing here on Saturday, offering something for all levels of punter and horse racing betting apps to get on board with.

Some hugely exciting 2-year-olds line up in the opener at Flemington here and Pisces is certainly the pick of them. James Cummings loves this horse and with Damien Lane on board, it looks as if it will take some stopping.

THE DANGER – Jenni's Meadow – $5.00

A 2-year-old who has bagged a win already, Jenni's Meadow is a hugely impressive mare, who will be firmly tracked here by and betting sites alike. This should be a great contest and Jenni's Meadow should be firmly in the mix.

VALUE BET – Markdel - $7.00

The Freedman clan have high hopes for Markdel and his progress continues to be kept a close watch on by both punters and betting apps. The quality of opposition has stepped up here but Markdel looks more than capable of competing.

THE DANGER – Berkshire Breeze – $3.80

Irish flyer Berkshire Breeze has been waiting for the right race to come along and this distance looks absolutely perfect. Stopping Quantum Cat won't be easy but this looks to be a bit of a two-horse race with most punters and betting sites.

VALUE BET – Pesto - $10.00

Challenging for places maybe all that the rest of the field is consigned to but Pesto should be capable of at least a push for a top 3. The British horse comes from good stock and it is one to keep an eye on for value for all punters and betting apps.

In arguably the most open race of the day here at Flemington, Steel Run looks to go off as the favourite. Avoiding danger will be key but Steel Run is a good horse, who should set a reasonable marker to beat.

THE DANGER – Aztec State – $7.50

Strong claims can be made for plenty in race 5 but Aztec State is a horse that commands respect from both punters and betting sites in this open field. For those chasing value, it could be the way to go.

VALUE BET – Burlington Gate - $9.00

The same could be said for Burlington Gate, who won well last time out with Declan Bates on board and this is a horse that should have the capacity to challenge here, piquing the interest of plenty of punters and betting apps.
