There are plenty of horses with an outside shot here and Emmadella looks set to lead them. It has been out of action for a few weeks but should return refreshed and has the speed to compete over 1200m.

Another British contender is Alaldance, who also should have absolutely no issues with the 2400m distance. It is bang in form too and it does look to be a straight shootout between these two expert stayers.

Decent claims can be laid for Naval College too, a horse that looks to be still finding its feet this season a touch. However, it has history at Randwick and with the top two battling it out, it represents a shrewd value bet.
