It's James McDonald in the hotseat for Chris Waller in the opener with Wodeton and this horse will seriously take some beating. Some scratchings have helped its cause too and Wodeton will be very tough to catch.

THE DANGER - The Magic Man - $7.00
Form has been very good of late for The Magic Man, a horse that has been slowly finding its feet in 2024/25 and who will be in the mix, even if Wodeton is simply too quick for it.

VALUE BET - Sanctified - $12.00
Over 1100m, Sanctified will fancy its chances here and it should be in the mix throughout. It does feel like this calibre of competition is too much to win the race but it is a contender to place.

James Cummings and James McDonald are a potent team and Polyglot is the latest very impressive cab off the rank. With pace to burn and a couple of recent sighters, Polyglot will take some stopping. 

THE DANGER - Iron Hawk - $5.00
Despite a couple of quieter runs in its last couple of outings, Iron Hawk remains a seriously good horse, who has the capability to turn it on in an instant but it will need to be at it from the start to beat Polyglot.

VALUE BET - Winchester - $6.00
This looks to be the perfect type of trip for Winchester, a horse that is still looking to find its ideal distance and this could be it at 1100m. It looks a great price to be fully in the mix for a place too.

The obvious one in the closer here at Rosehill is Spring Lee, a horse that has been creaking into gear of late and who should relish this type of contest over 1100m, especially with some scratchings.

Trainer Joseph Pride has been getting a good tune of Cosmonova of late and with the yard in good form too, it should be in contention here, especially if the ground stays firmer over the faster trip.

VALUE BET - Bundeena - $9.50
Zac Lloyd gets the nod on Bundeena, a horse that has long had the capabilty to compete at this level but doesn't have the body of results to back that up but it has a strong outside chance here at Rosehill.
