A similar synopsis can be drawn for fellow Kiwi Lincoln Rocks, who tore it up at Moonee Valley last time out. This is a little shorter, so will need a fleeter foot but it looks to be more than capable of challenging here.

VALUE BET - Lauding - $8.00
Ciaron Maher likes Lauding and this looks to be the perfect type of trip here at Rosehill. Competition could be a little too strong but in a market of plenty of decent outside shots, it represents good value.

James McDonald on board this one for Chris Waller is a signal of intent and Gatsby's looks set to deliver on a bigger stage here. Two wins from 4 outings is a decent return and it should add to that tally in this one.

A real danger in so many ways, Ikasara is the one to watch here. Off the track for the best part of half a year, it is an unknown quantity but it won its only other outing and could certainly mix it over this distance.

VALUE BET - Bodyguard - $5.00
Another horse that is showing for the first time this season is Bodyguard and if it can demonstrate some of the quality it showed last term, it should be in the hunt here. That said, it could be easing back into form and this could come too early.

Three wins and a blip in its last 4 races tell the story for Celestial Legend, who didn't cope well with the trip and the going here at Rosehill last time out but it is a horse that should never be written off.

Some of the best horses around find themselves in this race and Osipenko fits that bill, following an indifferent run of form. However, it is a horse with pace to burn and excellent staying power and the heavy ground could suit.
