Caulfield tends to bring out the big guns and once again here to conclude July, a bumper 9-race card is catching the eye for punters and betting sites alike.

BEST BET - Dom - $2.60
Plenty of young flyers take to the track in the opener at Caulfield and Dom is arguably the pick of the bunch. A ferocious talent for the Hayes yard, Dom has all the hallmarks of a huge performer in the future and it is looking to make it two wins from two outings here.

THE DANGER - I Am Velvet - $3.00
For all the furore surrounding Dom, I Am Velvet has a similar profile and it is a horse that could certainly mount a challenge in a field such as this. With pace to burn, I Am Velvet should be firmly in the mix here and it looks a decent price to challenge.

VALUE BET  - Detroit City - $5.00
With such inexperience in the field, plenty here make claims but Detroit City is probably the pick of the bunch. One win from one career outing is the standout statistic and it should enjoy the going here at Caulfield.

BEST BET - Recommendation - $1.70
Ciaron Maher knows he has a special horse in his midst in Recommendation and it should be another chance to showcase its potential here at Caulfield. The trip should suit perfectly and this would be a welcome Group 3 scalp.

THE DANGER - Mrs Chrissie - $5.00
Connections will be hoping that Mrs Chrissie can lay down a significant challenge here to its stablemate and Ciaron Maher knows that it should enjoy the challenge of going up against a familiar face but it will have to reach new heights to win this one.

VALUE BET - Semillion - $10.00
A horse that hasn't kicked on as many people thought it may do is Semillion but it remains a terrific runner and whilst the 1200m trip may seem a little short, it has the potential to at least keep up with the leaders in terms of speed.

Recent form has been stunning for Elouyou and the closer here at Caulfield does look to be the ideal type of race to continue its good nick. Competition certainly increases in difficulty since its win at Rosehill last time out but it is the justified favourite.

THE DANGER - Rhapsody Chic - $5.50
The Freedman yard have plenty of good horses in their roster at the moment and a claim could be made for Rhapsody Chic to be the very best of them. This is a real step up in quality but it is a horse in the winning groove and it certainly presents a danger.

VALUE BET - The Open - $7.00
Exactly the same could be said of The Open, a horse that trainer Paddy Payne adores and who should go well here at Caulfield, coming into this one off the back of an impressive win at Sandown last time out.
