Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 28/01/25

The track conditions at Horsham are looking good for racing. It will be a soft 7 at Goulburn on Tuesday, so take that into account when you're playing bets. Let's get into it!

Spangled Sipper is coming off a nice win and I think she can do it again on Tuesday in this race. She won at Echuca last month from Barrier 2 over 1600m. This time, Meech is in the saddle and she has placed 2nd in her last race on board. Her last race at this track was first-up this prep, finishing 4th. But I think she’ll be fitter third-up. She should also enjoy the track conditions. Get on board.

A roughie I like on Tuesday could be Bode Akuna in Race 6. He comes off a nice run at Nowra, finishing 2nd over 1000m. His last race at this track was a victory, beating a 10 horse field over the same distance that he will run on Tuesday too. So I think that bodes well, especially if the track gets a bit wet. Should be at peak fitness fourth-up and could offer a good value bet.
