About Bet365

Whilst you may think Australia is the home to Bet365, after all, you punt on it! That’s not the case though. Bet365 is a British online gambling company headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom. Bet365 Group Ltd have other offices in the United Kingdom, as well as away from home headquarters in countries like Bulgaria, Malta, and of course Australia.

The Bet365 company was founded by Denise Coates in 2001, whose father was the owner of Stoke City Football Club in England (until Bet365 gained ownership). From small beginnings to one of the largest online horse racing betting sites in the world, Bet365 employ north of 4,000 people to keep the machine rolling along. There’s no telling where Bet365 will go next, but with such a great reputation and well thought out products, I expect that direction will be upwards.

Bet365 Score

To deliver a clearer break-down of Bet365.com.au and what it has to offer, we provide a score for some of the most important bookmaker requirements. The Bet365 racing score is honest and based on thorough research and experience with Bet365.com.au. Enjoy our Bet365 Score below:

🐴Betting Markets - 9/10
Bet365 may be the go-to bookie for a wide range of punters, but Bet365 are very clearly a horse racing bookmaker. Bet365 offer excellent betting markets for an Australian online bookmaker. Bet365 have the usual fixed price and tote bets, as well as a solid range of exotics.

💳Banking Options - 10/10
This one can be kept quite short and simple for Bet365. The online bookmaker will, without a doubt, have your preferred method of depositing or withdrawing. On top of this, Bet365 will more than likely have some banking options you didn’t even know existed.

📱Mobile Experience - 8/10
As an experienced user of Bet365 and their mobile product, I can confidently so it is above average. Bet365’s in-play page on the app is sometimes buggy, alongside in other smaller instances using Bet365’s mobile app. Overall, once you learn how to navigate the Bet365 app, you will find it very easy and enjoyable to use.

💸Withdraw Speed - 10/10
Once again, Bet365 puts in a maximum score, this time for the withdrawal speed of Bet365’s mobile app or web product. If you are withdrawing from Bet365 using a common method such as bank withdrawal, you can expect that money to hit your account within hours. Bet365 do a great job in getting your money to you on weekends and public holidays, also within hours.

🧩Overall User Experience - 10/10
Bet365 is a pleasure to use as an avid punter. Bet365’s web product is sleek, easy to navigate and fast loading. There isn’t much more you can ask for from an online bookmaker. As for the Bet365 mobile app, once familiarised with its navigability, it too is a joy to use as well as simple in nature.

📧Customer Support -  9/10
Due to Bet365 being based outside of Australia, the Bet365 customer support service is not tailored to the Australian online betting market. Nowadays, a live chat feature is essential for a successfully operating online bookmaker. Bet365 have implemented this in more recent years to better align themselves with the market. Bet365 also offer customer support by email, call, post, or web message.

🔒Security - 10/10
Betting with Bet365 is completely secure and legal. Bet365 is licensed by the Northern Territory Government and the Northern Territory Racing Commission, so rest assured when you use Bet365, you are secured.

Overall 10/10

Bet365 is truly a complete bookmaker with excellent features and both mobile and web products. There are a couple of things Bet365 could improve upon which I will go into later, but the 10/10 score for Bet365 is deserved.

Bet365 Racing

It seems like I have been speaking ad nauseum about Bet365 and their notoriety, sleek product, and competitive odds. Now it’s time to get into the Bet365’s real stuff, their racing product.

It is very clear to see that at its core, Bet365 is a racing bookmaker. There’s no clearer indication of this than on the homepage of Bet365. Here, in the centre of the Bet365 homepage, is the ‘Next to Jump’ section. This section shows the next races to jump on Bet365, so you do not miss out on any upcoming races.

Now moving on to the left-hand side of the Bet365 home screen, there is a ‘Full List’ of categorised markets that Bet365 offers. Right at the top of this list is horse racing, followed by greyhound racing, followed by harness racing. Clicking on the Bet365 horse racing tab takes you to the Bet365 horse racing homepage. This page again showcases the ‘Next to Jump’ races, as well as a full card of Australian & New Zealand races for the day, with international races offered by Bet365 below that.

The design of these Bet365 racing home pages is sleek, easy to navigate and becomes intuitive quickly with consistent use. Once you have selected a runner/market to punt on, Bet365 displays your bet slip at the centre of the bottom portion of the screen. This is the same for both the Bet365 mobile app and the Bet365 web product.

To go into each individual Bet365 race page, you need only click on the specific race. This brings up Bet365’s Fixed/Tote markets for the specific race, which can be changed to a wide variety of markets by selecting a different tab. Bet365 offers many exotic markets for near all of the races Bet365 displays. Additionally, Bet365 have several other, more complex markets I would not recommend to the casual punter.

Overall, Bet365 has homed in on racing and tinkered with their offering until a complete, intuitive product was delivered, as we have now. Bet365 make racing easy to punt on, and equally easy to keep track of.

Bet365 Mobile App

Bet365 have one of the better mobile applications in the Australian bookmaker industry. The Bet365 mobile app is easy to download on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store. As a punter, there is nothing more crucial these days than being able to access your punts on your phone. Bet365 do a great job of this by allowing FaceID to login so there is minimal time between unlocking your phone and tracking or placing your bets.

I have already touched on the sleek design and ease of navigability of the Bet365 app in the ‘Bet365 Score’ portion of this Bet365 bookmaker review, however that was quite superficial. Truth be told, Bet365 is my most used bookie and as a result, I use the Bet365 mobile app more than any other bookmaking app. Bet365 do a great job of keeping everything in one place, i.e., your bet slip will always remain at the bottom of the screen, regardless of which Bet365 page you are on.

I do have to acknowledge that at times I find myself closing and reopening the Bet365 android app due to the ‘in-play’ or ‘my bets’ section not loading. This is likely due to periods of inactivity without actually closing the Bet365 mobile app, however there are a couple of other minor issues (bugginess) when performing certain activities using Bet365 and their mobile product.

In conclusion, I love Bet365’s app and use it frequently, however I would not convincingly say it is the best bookmaking mobile app, although Bet365 is up there. Try out the Bet365 mobile app yourself to get a better understanding.

Bet365 Products & Features

Bet365 have a plethora of products and features dedicated to creating the best betting experience for the punter. I’ve chosen to highlight a few of Bet365’s best products and features.

Editing Live Multis

I have yet to see this implemented on another accessible bookie besides Bet365. You can add legs to your already placed multi (odds boost still apply if using a certain Bet365 promotion. Additionally, Bet365’s live multi editor allows you to add to your existing stake, as well as partially cash out what you have already placed with Bet365. Please keep in mind this needs to be done before the event has commenced.

365 Best Tote

Similar to other Australian bookmakers, Bet365 offers a tote feature. Put simply, Bet365 will pay out the best Win dividend from the three Australian TABS (on non-metro horse racing). This ensures Bet365 will give you the best tote available.

Live Match Alerts

Whilst this feature seems small, it is things like this that set Bet365 apart. Setting alerts for the races you punt on, so you don’t miss out on knowing the result instantly. Most people would overlook this Bet365 feature but I personally hold it in high esteem.

Odds Drift Protector

Bet365’s odds drift protector ensures that if your horse (the one you have bet on) drifts to a longer price before the jump – and after you have placed your punt – you will receive the higher odds at the time of the race jumping. Bet365 have several of these minor features which can be seen on the right-hand side of the Bet365 homepage. Go have a look for yourself!

Bet Boosts & Racing Refunds

Bet365 keep their products and features available to customers only. As a result, you need to ensure you have signed up to Bet365 to place bets and receive all these benefits. This rings true for Bet365’s bet boosts and racing refunds. Bet365 offer specific runners or markets at an increased price every day. Additionally, on select races, customers can receive bonus cash back if their runner loses thanks to Bet365’s racing refund product.

Please note that in order to use extra features such as a Bet365 bonus code or Be365 signup bonus, you must have an account.

Bet365 Betting Markets

Out of all the bookmakers I have used in my experience, either Bet365 or TAB boasts the widest range of horse racing markets. Bet365 extends themselves away from the traditional Win/Place betting, as well as tote betting, to offer betting markets you are likely to have not seen before.

In addition to Bet365 providing exotic markets – such as quinellas, trifectas, quaddies, first fours, and exactas – Bet365 accept futures bets, offer Jockey Challenge markets, and Placecards (a fancy name for a quaddie, but for placing instead of winning).

I highly recommend trying out some of Bet365’s racing markets yourself as this review could go on forever if I were to illuminate them all. Instead, I have provided a list below of some of Bet365’s racing markets. This list includes some of the most common and eclectic markets offered by Bet365:

  • Fixed win
  • Tote win
  • Fixed place
  • Tote place
  • Quinella
  • Exacta
  • Trifecta
  • First Four
  • Quaddie
  • Placecards
  • Futures
  • Jockey Challenge
  • Top Fluc Cover Bets
  • 1-2 Bets
  • 1-2-3 Bets

Again, I implore you to investigate the range of markets Bet365 have to offer for both domestic and international horse racing as this list of Bet365 racing markets does not do it justice.

Bet365 FAQs

What is Bet365?

Bet365 is an online bookmaker founded in England in 2000 by Denise Coates, daughter of former owner of Stoke City Football Club that currently play in the English League Championship. Bet365 offers a wide range of both sports and racing markets. Bet365 is widely known as one of the biggest online bookies worldwide. Bet365 arrived on Australian soil in 2012 and is one of the key players in the Australian bookmaking scene.

Does Bet365 have a mobile app?

Bet365 have their own mobile app available on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store. To learn more about Bet365’s mobile product, read the section in this Bet365 review titled ‘Bet365 Mobile App’.

How long does a Bet365 Australia withdrawal take?

Bet365 are notoriously quick in terms of their withdrawal speed. Depending on you method of withdrawal, Bet365 can have your money in your account in a matter of hours, weekday or weekend. This mostly pertains to Bet365 withdrawals using credit card/debit card or bank withdrawal.

Bet365 offer the largest range of banking options available for an Australian bookmaker. So withdrawal options such as eWallets or PayPal may take slightly longer than the more common banking options.

Bet365 is legal in Australia?

Bet365 is legal in Australia, since 2012. Bet365 has been licensed by the Northern Territory Racing Commission since then and has its headquarters set in Darwin, Northern Territory. This license allows Bet365 to operate as an online bookie in Australia.

How do I bet with Bet365?

Betting with Bet365 is an intuitive process that mimics all other online bookies. To follow my step-by-step guide on how to place a bet with Bet365, go to the ‘Bet365 How To’ section of this Bet365 review.

Bet365 Banking

I have already touched on the banking options offered by Bet365 in the ‘Bet365 Score’ section of this Bet365 review, however it requires more detail for you to fully grasp the extent of Bet365’s options for deposit and withdrawal.

To sum up Bet365’s payment options, it is the most extensive available for an Australian online bookmaker (by far and away in my opinion). Yes, you can use the standard baking option of depositing and withdrawing on Bet365 with your credit card/debit card or bank account, so no worries there. Some other common options are PayPal and POLi which are offered by the larger Australian bookmakers.

Bet365 also offer the use of eWallets such as Skrill or Neteller, but that still does not cover all that Bet365 has to offer. Instead of going through all of the deposit and withdrawal options available with Bet365, I have included an image below of some of the available banking options, as well as their minimum and maximum amounts.

In terms of depositing and withdrawing on Bet365, it is as simple as can be. Clicking on the Bet365 deposit button brings up an intuitive screen where you add a card, amount and the security code. To withdraw, as well as view more banking options available with Bet365, click on ‘Bank’ which can be seen once you have clicked on your profile. Once more, this is simple to use and pretty self-explanatory.

Where I believe Bet365 excel, is their withdrawal speed. If you are like me, and use your card or bank account, you can expect Bet365 to have that money in your account within a few hours, regardless of the day of the week or time of day. This is becoming more common amongst other bookies but Bet365 are very consistent.

Bet365 Customer Support

What I love about Bet365 is their ability to constantly adapt and improve to stay out in front of other bookmakers in Australia. Bet365 do an exceptional job of understanding their clients’ needs and wants and finding a method to deliver this in the best possible way. This is indicative of Bet365’s great customer support.

It has only been quite a recent addition for Bet365 to introduce their Live Chat feature, which is as essential a feature as any for a bookmaker nowadays. Not only is this feature incredibly important to Bet365, but they also offer it 24/7.

Bet365 offer several methods they can be contacted by to receive customer service. The standard contact methods of email and phone call are readily available with Bet365, with both features being available 24 hours every day. Bet365 can also be contacted via post or web message if the former two methods are not acceptable for the customer.

In my experience with Bet365, which is quite extensive, I have never engaged with an unfriendly customer support representative, with almost all of the Bet365 team being able to assist me with my needs. Bet365 truly offer a great customer support product.

If I had one bad thing to say about Bet365 and their customer service product, it would be the difficulty in finding the ‘help’ button if you have not located it before. As a tip, you can access Bet365’s customer support by going to the bottom of the left-hand side list and selecting ‘help’.

Overall, Bet365 have a great customer support system and team that are available 24/7 to assist you with your punting needs.

Bet365 Odds & Margins

If you have read the rest of this Bet365 review, you would know that Bet365 have competitive fixed odds for their racing markets. Well let’s put that to the test by comparing the odds of Bet365 to TAB and Sportsbet across two races.

To briefly explain what the figures mean, they are a margin. For example, let’s say Bet365 have a margin of 129%, this means that for every $1 bet that Bet365 accept, they stand to make 29c.
