Hello my name’s Chris! I’m a content writer who travels the world and I have been writing content for a long time, almost too long to remember. My experience with Australian horse racing started when I moved to Australia, specifically Kensington, just a stone’s throw, from Royal Randwick Racecourse. Those people who told me that people in Australia only dress up for funerals and horse racing were correct.

Before that time, I lived in the UK where there were so many horse races that got me interested think Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Grand National, Royal Ascot, Goodwood, the St Leger and even the Welsh Grand National. My favourite was the Grand National from Aintree, Liverpool, you may understand later in this text.
I thought these were big money races until I came to Australia,! Just look at the Melbourne Cup!

I love analysing the major tracks & runners. So many horses have left their mark with me, think  Zaaki & Verry Elleegant in recent times, if ever there were horses who could win and yet at times still not. Oh well, there are always hiccups along the way, but putting an old adage to good use you just have to get back in the saddle (no pun intended).

In closing a few things that you should know about me is that I spend any free time travelling and catching up with friends & family, I like most sports, my football team is Everton FC. So I have patience not having won a major trophy in over 27 years! I follow Sydney FC, the Socceroos and Wales (yeah, both were there in Qatar), Sydney Rabbitohs (everyone’s favourite 2nd team?) and the Dallas Cowboys.

I hope you see that I like to write in a free flowing, sometimes humorous, manner to help you both extract useful information and enjoy as well as appreciate the fine sport of kings.
