After reporting an injury to the NSW Stewards last Thursday, Godolphin head trainer James Cummings says Traffic Warden is “absolutely fine” and will be ready to race in The Everest at Randwick Racecourse on 19 October.

The Lindsay Park team say Mr. Brightside is on track for a strong Cox Plate at Moonee Valley Racecourse on 26 October. He will race at Caulfield in the Might And Power Stakes on Saturday as a part of his Cox Plate prep.

Racing Australia has confirmed that the All-Star Mile and The Everest will be Group 1 races for the 2024/25 horse racing and beyond. The decision has also been ratified by the Asian Racing Federation.

James Cummings and Godolphin Racing’s Traffic Warden has been selected to run in The Everest at Randwick Racecourse on 19 October. The three-year-old son of Street Boss is one of the betting favourites to win the $20 million race.

Airman narrowly won the Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday. The five-year-old gelding beat out some of the biggest Everest contenders, including Bella Nipotina, Giga Kick, and Think About It. Airman is now in contention for The Everest.

Ben, JD, and Will Hayes of the Lindsay Park training team say their star, Arkansaw Kid, could run in The Everest and Golden Eagle races back-to-back starts. These are two of Australia’s richest races and both would be a big test for the gelding.

Trainer Bjorn Baker says star sprinter Overpass is closing in on returning to racing. The gelding could be ready to go as soon as The Everest or the Group 3 Sydney Stakes at Randwick Racecourse on 19 October.

After failing to win her first two races of the 2024/25 season, Pride Of Jenni is back at her best. The three-time Group 1 winner pulled off an impressive victory in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes on Friday at Moonee Valley.

Trainer Tony McEvoy’s Rue De Royale is now a horse everyone is keeping an eye on after his win in a competitive maiden race at Bendigo. The three-year-old is now a dark horse contender to win the Group 2 Stutt Stakes on Friday.

Ciaron Maher’s I Am Me put in a strong performance to win the Group 2 The Shorts at Randwick on Saturday. It was the mare’s second win of the season. She is on track to run in The Everest next month.
