I'm Robin Sydney, born and bred in the UK, but I've been living in Australia for the past 23 years. My wife, our teenage daughters, and I call the beautiful north coast of New South Wales home. I've always been a die-hard sports fan with a particular soft spot for Football (Soccer), Cricket, and Horse Racing. Nottingham Forest is my football team and their recent return to the English Premier League after a long 25-year hiatus has been a source of joy!

It's here in Australia that I developed a deep-seated love for Horse Racing, all thanks to my dear friend, Dean Trevaskis. Together, we embarked on a thrilling journey into horse ownership. Our very first horse won its debut race and even raced on Melbourne Cup Day! While it didn't win that day, just participating felt like a victory. Our most memorable moment as owners was when our horse, Care To Think, claimed victory in the Magic Millions Cup 2018, a million-dollar race. Even with our small share, it was a great payday and an unparalleled thrill.

Sadly, Dean passed away a few years ago, but my love for racing keeps his memory alive. In fact, a horse we co-owned, named Whodat, still graces the racecourse. My admiration for jockeys Nash Rawiller and Glenn Boss has been unwavering over the years, and I can't forget to mention my all-time favourite horse, the legendary Black Caviar. Racing is more than just a sport for me; it's a bond, a memory, and an enduring passion.
