At Ballarat, the track conditions should be nice for race day, it's a good 4 rating at the moment. Let's get into it!

Gai Waterhouse presents Shangri La Spring and it’s looking for a third straight win at Rosehill on Saturday afternoon. Last start won at Hawkesbury over 1400m and previously won at Kembla Grange over 1200m. Both wins have been on good tracks and Rosehill should be in similar conditions. In great form and hasn’t let punters down yet, let’s hope that continues.

Sir Atlas returns from a spell and I like the look of his first-up record. He has 2 wins in 3 career starts when he’s fresh, so he should be able to continue the trend on Saturday. He’s won at this track before too and the distance of 1400m. Fred W Kersley is back in the saddle and has won before. Nice odds for an each-way bet.

The Group 1 races 2024 continue this Saturday with some key races at Randwick in NSW and Ascot, WA. The Ingham takes place at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday over 1600m and there is 2 million in prize money up for grabs. Meanwhile, the Northerly Stakes is the feature race of the day at Ascot.
