Lethal Weapon has been impressive in just 3 career starts and I think she’ll be good again on Thursday. She comes off her first win, beating a 16 horse field at Northam. Brad Parnham was on board for that victory and he’s back in the saddle for this race too. She ran on this track last month and came 3rd. Should be fitter for the run this time and good odds to have a crack at back to back wins.

Best Roughie: Hollandia #4 Ballarat R5
Last run, took down Jenny The Beaver (58.5kg) over 2400m at Bendigo (starting price: $5.50). I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Hollandia to get in the mix on Thursday, especially from barrier 9 with Jarrod Fry in the saddle. Before that, Hollandia finished first at Ballarat in a BM64 on October 17, 2024, over 2600m. I think it's a real genuine each way chance.
