This time, I think it's got a more favourable draw, which should give it a better shot. With that advantage, this horse is definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In its last start, Shropshire Lad was 56kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Overtook (57kg) over 900m after being right in the thick of things around the corner. Loves dry conditions, the track at Scone should be nice. I think it’s a great bet in this race.

Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Kyneton, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Jordan Childs in the saddle, it's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Barnage finished first at Bendigo in an Mdn on March 14, 2024, over 1000m. A lot of winning form on dry tracks, the Caulfield Heath track should suit it nicely. Good odds for an each-way bet.
