Zambezi Khan: I like the form of Zambezi Khan for Race 4 at Moonee Valley on Friday. Won at Flemington over 1700m on January 1.

Make It Sweet: In its latest run at Mornington BM74 on January 8, it held its ground and snagged 4th place out of 9, not too bad.

Love Sparkles: Comes to Australia for the first time and I think she should enjoy the conditions. In her career, she has been impressive on good tracks and the distance should suit.

Princess Nefertiti: Racing well at the moment. She came 2nd last start at Geelong over 1700m. She has an impressive record over this trip and has placed in 50% of her career runs at the track.

Dune Forty Five: A bit of a track specialist. He has 2 wins in 3 starts on the Gold Coast. He’s also placed in 2 of 2 at the distance.

Brookhaven: Looking to place or win for the 4th time in 5 starts. Usually enjoys soft tracks.

Diablo Bolt: Last run, took down Naval Seal (57kg) over 1845m at Eagle Farm (starting price: $4.40). I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Diablo Bolt to get the win on Friday, especially from barrier 13 with Ron Stewart in the saddle.

Queen Air: The favourite in this race and racing nicely. She comes off a 2nd at Eagle Farm in a 13 horse field. Before that, she won at the same track.

2nd: 1, 2, 8, 9

Elliotto: I like the look of Elliotto in Race 8 at Murray Bridge on Friday. Previously won at Naracoorte over 1200m, carrying 58kg. That was a really good win, so I think Elliotto should be tough to beat on Friday too.

Mortgage Man: Coming off a nice win at Oakbank over 1400m with J Holder in the saddle.

Tick Tock Boom: Should enjoy the inside barrier draw. Yet to win at this distance, but has run well despite that. Very experienced in these types of track conditions.

Exalted Kate: Likes the track and distance. Should go well from the 1 barrier.
