Exotic Tips of the Day

The racing action is back on Friday and I'm here to help you back some winners! Here are some sneaky exotic tips for the top 3 races of the day.

Exacta - Moonee Valley - R8

1st: 10, 16, 14, 11

2nd: 10, 16, 14, 11

Fission: At Sandown-Hillside on September 4, Fission finished 5th out of 11, while carrying 59kg at $9.00 odds.

Rumours Abound: In its last run, this horse finished 5th of 10 at Sandown-Hillside in a BM70 on June 19, 2024, over 1000m, 0.9 lengths behind Go To Hollywood (58kg).

Harry Got Styles: This runner has won his last 2 races at Bendigo and Echuca. Also loves this distance, and hasn’t fallen out of the top 2 in 3 career starts.

I Miss Margie: I like the look of I Miss Margie in Race 8 at Moonee Valley on Friday. Previously won at Cranbourne over 1000m, carrying 60.5kg. That was a really good win, so I think I Miss Margie should be tough to beat on Friday too.

Exacta - Launceston - R6

1st: 2, 1, 6, 3

2nd: 2, 1, 6, 3

Charlie Bucket: Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Launceston, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Chloe Wells in the saddle, it's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again.

Sharma's Last: In its last race at Devonport Synthetic on September 29, it came out on top with a winning margin of 1.8 lengths. It was carrying 60.5kg and held off Exalted Crown (54kg), which was pretty good to watch at $2.70 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race.

The Spirit Of Zero: I'm a big fan of The Spirit Of Zero in Race 6 at Launceston on Friday. On October 11, won over 1600m at Launceston, carrying 58.5kg. That was a pretty decent win, so I believe that The Spirit Of Zero will be one to watch in this race.

General Assembly: General Assembly showed some promise at Launceston last time. In its last start, General Assembly placed 3rd out of 7 in a BM68 on October 11 over 1600m, on a good track, just 1.7 lengths behind King Island (62kg) with 59kg at $3.00.

Exacta - Scone - R4

1st: 2, 6, 7, 5

2nd: 2, 6, 7, 5

Cumboogle: Last run, took down Can Do It (55.5kg) over 800m at Narromine (starting price: $3.50). I think that was an impressive win, so I'm backing Cumboogle to get the win on Friday, especially from barrier 6 with Ashley Morgan in the saddle.

Too Darn Lovely: She has won at this track before and should be fresh after having the last month off. Usually runs well when she is coming back a spell so should be able to run a place.

Kora Magic: Last time on the track, it placed 3rd out of 7 in the BM58 at Orange on October 10. That race was on a good track and it came in 1.3 lengths behind Starane (60kg). Should be in the mix.

Savoca: In its last race at Scone on September 27, it came out on top with a winning margin of 0.1 lengths. It was carrying 58kg and held off Catchy Tunes (60.5kg), which was pretty good to watch at $18.00 odds.

Stats and Insights

  • Flexi Betting lets you bet a bit of the full dividend, so you can stick to your budget by taking a smaller cut of the total win.
  • With the Exacta, your payout depends on which of the Aussie TABs is in your area.
  • The Exacta usually pays out more than the Quinella since it's trickier to pick the horses in the right order.
  • Exacta's are a good bet if you're really confident in a horse to win, especially if it's a short-priced favourite.
