Best Exotic Tips of the Day | May 31
Exacta - Cranbourne - R1
Flying Mean: Showed promise last prep and won an 800m jumpout at Cranbourne on April 29. First-up after four months, it got back early and finished 7th of 9 at Sandown-Hillside on May 8 over 1000m. Has plenty of upside and is a leading chance.
Windorah: A three-year-old filly by Sooboog out of Star Charge, making her first start. Won an 800m jumpout at Pakenham on May 14, leading and travelling well. She’s expected to show up strong on debut.
Room For Bingo: Half-sibling to Lloyd’s Crown. Stayed on well off a wide run on debut and led at a solid pace before getting caught late in the next two starts. Last race was a close 2nd of 8 at Cranbourne. Close to a win.
Champagne Effort: Caught wide on debut but has shown improvement with a strong 2nd of 9 at Cranbourne on May 24 over 1000m, just a nose behind Kamchatka. Lots of upside and a leading chance.
Exacta - Cranbourne - R3
Hot Pursuit: This horse is in good form. Last start, it tracked the speed and finished 2nd of 10 at Cranbourne on May 3 over 1400m. Before that, it ran from midfield to finish 2nd of 11 at Cranbourne. Racing well and should be in the mix.
Mark Of Zorro: Last start, it finished 4th of 10 at Cranbourne on May 3 over 1400m. Worth a look.
Sweet Jasmine: Close in both starts during first prep. Last start, it finished 5th of 9 at Pakenham on May 9 over 1400m. Previously, it finished 2nd of 9 at Caulfield. Fitter now and has definite claims.
Ready Tiger: Placed twice in recent starts. Last start, it finished 5th of 9 at Pakenham on May 16 over 1600m. Before that, it made ground from midfield to finish 3rd of 10 at Cranbourne on May 3 over 1400m. Capable of a better run here.
Exacta - Cranbourne - R8
Russian Bobshark: This horse jumped out well before impressing on debut. It ran solidly off a wide run in town during its second start. Today marks its third race start. On debut, it came from midfield to win by 1.75 lengths at this track on April 12 over 1000m on a soft track. Lightly raced and should be tough to beat.
Unlimited Magic: Positive jumpouts and a decent run first up at Warrnambool. Can improve second-up. Previously second-up, it finished second last of 9 at Sale on October 29 over 1000m. Should progress from that first-up run.
Hydro Star: Winless in the past 23 starts but has placed 13 times. Won a 900m jumpout at Mornington on May 1. Last race, it got back early and finished 4th of 8 at this track on May 10 over 1000m. Likely to improve.
Thargomindah: Outclassed at Caulfield second up and safely held from a rearward spot at Sandown Hillside but could improve.
