Silmarillion: Silmarillion showed promise at Randwick on August 24, finishing 2nd out of 12 in an Open on a good track, just 0.1 lengths behind Ameena (55kg) with 55kg at $21.00. With that run under its belt, Silmarillion is expected to improve and I think is a strong contender for this race. 

Immortal Star: In its last race at Moonee Valley on August 24, it came out on top with a winning margin of 0.1 lengths. It was carrying 56kg and held off Photograph (56kg), which was pretty good to watch at $4.60 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues. 

Sakima: On August 24 at Randwick in an Open over 1200m, Sakima started slow and finished 7th out of 12, while carrying 55kg at $21.00 odds. However, first-up form looks good. 

Sassy Jenni: Sassy Jenni is first-up on Saturday. Has a positive first-up record in its career. Last start, finished 3rd of 7 at Moonee Valley in an Open over 1200m, just 2.1 lengths behind Bittercreek (58kg) carrying 56kg at $9.00. Should enjoy running first-up as has been the case in its career.

Well Timed: Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Randwick, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Nash Rawiller in the saddle, it's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances. 

World Alliance: In its last race on August 24 at Randwick, he surged to the front, winning by 0.2 lengths. He carried 56.5kg and managed to beat Pokerjack (57kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $6.50 odds. So, it's definitely in top form right now. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think. 

Congregation: Ready to win now. Finished second last start with McDonald on board at Randwick. Likes running first-up. 

Thunderlips: Last start, it tried hard but was outgunned, finishing 4th of 7 at Rosehill in a BM78 over 1100m, 2.4 lengths behind Gitalong (57.5kg). I expect this runner to finish strong and should offer good value odds for punters on Saturday. Good stats when it's second-up.

Tannenburg: Last race, Tannenburg ran a place (2nd) at Doomben over 1615m with James Orman on board, just finishing behind the winner. Should get a lot of confidence from that run and should be a good bet again. 

Victory Win: In its last race at Doomben on August 24, it came out on top with a winning margin of 1.3 lengths. It was carrying 59.5kg and held off Tannenburg (58.5kg), at $4.20 odds. So, it's looking hard to stop in this race too. 

Whisky Dream: In its last race at Toowoomba on August 17, it came out on top with a winning margin of 2.0 lengths. It was carrying 56.5kg and held off Tijuana Two Step (55.5kg). So should be able to run a place. 

Sizzling Gal: It's shown it has the ability to be a serious contender and with a bit more luck and a better trip, it’s got a real shot at taking this one. In good form at the moment.
