Get ready for some racing action around Australia on Saturday as we look at the top 3 meetings. We have you covered with 3 exacta bets lined up at Caulfield, Rosehill and Eagle Farm.
Exacta - Caulfield - R5
1st: 4, 1, 5, 10
2nd: 4, 1, 5, 10
Sheva: Sheva is first-up on Saturday. Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 10 in the Open at Moonee Valley on October 28. That race was over 1200m on a good track and it came in 0.3 lengths behind Saltaire (57.5kg). Definitely among the winning chances.
Bossy Nic: In his last race on June 10 at Mornington, he surged to the front, winning by 0.3 lengths. He carried 59.5kg and managed to beat Valois (62kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $4.00 odds. So, it's definitely in top form right now. Doesn't mind running fourth-up as Bossy Nic has proven success when it's in this situation.
Enna's Dream: In the recent outing for Enna's Dream at Sandown-Hillside, he came in third, not far behind the leaders. Now that he's fitter, he's got a solid chance of finishing in the top three again, I think. Blaike McDougall knows how to handle him too, so don't count him out just yet. I think its a real genuine each way chance.
Unconquerable: Last start, Unconquerable was 5th of 12 at Flemington on May 18 over 1100m on a soft track, 0.9 lengths behind Links (54kg) with 54.5kg at $9.50. But it should improve here. First-up form looks good.
Exacta - Rosehill - R6
1st: 8, 10, 3, 13
2nd: 8, 10, 3, 13
Jambalaya: Jambalaya showed some promise at Randwick last time. In it's last start, Jambalaya placed 3rd out of 14 in a BM78 on June 8 over 1000m, on a heavy track, just 1.7 lengths behind The Black Cloud (56.5kg) with 53kg at $8.50. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.
In Flight: Last start, beat One Destiny (53kg) at Rosehill over 1100m at the starting price of $6.50. That was a good win and I like In Flight on Saturday too, especially with Jay Ford on board from barrier 4. Likes running second-up, good record.
Boston Rocks: With Zac Lloyd on board last start, won at Randwick (740m). So hopefully that form continues into Saturday's race. On Saturday, Zac Lloyd is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. Has been good before when it's first-up.
Cosmonova: Just finished behind the places in it's last start, finishing 4th at 13 on June 5. So I think it can improve after that run and should be fitter here. Good stats when it's second-up.
Exacta - Eagle Farm - R6
1st: 7, 1, 4, 9
2nd: 7, 1, 4, 9
Knight's Choice: Last time out, he made a late surge and finished a close second over 59kg at 59kg, just behind the winner. Fawkner Park (59kg). Is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat. He goes on top for me. Has looked good this prep and has enjoyed winning form fourth-up before.
Vow And Declare: Just finished behind the places in it's last start, finishing 4th at 18 on June 15. So I think it can improve after that run and should be fitter here.
Serpentine: With Cejay Graham on board last start, won at Deagon (1200m). So hopefully that form continues into Saturday's race. On Saturday, Tim Clark is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. Plenty of success at this track before and I like the trend for Saturday.
Young Werther: Previously, it finished 6th of 18 at Eagle Farm in a Open on June 15, 2024 over 2200m, 6.2 lengths behind Fawkner Park (59kg).
