Grid Girl: Impressive first-up record and that should see her hard to beat on Thursday. Blaike McDougall also has 2 wins on board this mare.

Over Yonder: Last start, it tried hard but was outgunned, finishing 4th of 8 at Cranbourne in a BM64 over 1000m, 2.8 lengths behind Sea Mist (55.5kg). I expect this runner to finish strong and should offer good value odds for punters on Thursday.

Pyrois: On January 1 at Flemington in a Rs0MW over 1200m, Pyrois started slow and finished 7th out of 11, while carrying 56.5kg at $13.00 odds. However, I think this race is more suitable and it should be able to put in a better showing.

Heaving: I like the form of Heaving for Race 6 at Seymour on Thursday. Won at Bairnsdale over 1200m on September 9.

Delusionaldictator: Looks like a great bet in this field and he is due for a win. Comes off a 3rd at Cranbourne and a 2nd before that at the same track. Yet to finish outside the top 3 in his 4 career starts.

Vienna Vixen: Jockey Ethan Brown likes this mare and she has won at this distance before.

Signor Bill: Should be fitter after a disappointing first-up run. Billy Egan back in the saddle should help, they’ve never finished outside the top 2 in 4 starts together.

Zeshadow: Back from a spell and won in her last race. That was also first-up so she usually likes running fresh. Blake Shinn on board. Go well again.

Essentric Nature: Resuming from a spell and has won first-up before. Good draw and should run well fresh.

Magnasonic: He’s an excellent performer at this track, having won 2 of just 4 starts. Let’s hope that trend continues into Thursday’s race.

General Knowledge: Should be able to bounce back from a tough run and has won at this track before. Also likes the distance.
