Best Exotic Tips of the Day | May 16

Get ready for some awesome racing action this Thursday with three exacta bets lined up at Pakenham, Northam and Grafton. Grafton's got a whopping 10 races starting from just before 11 am until 4 pm, so it's gonna be a wild ride. The track's sitting at a heavy 9, so it's gonna be prime for those runners who love getting down and dirty in the wet. Over at Pakenham, it's night racing, and the track's looking pretty decent at a soft 5. And up at Northam, things kick off in the late afternoon, with the track in good shape at a solid 4. So, get set for some epic racing action!

Boga Legend put up a solid performance at Warrnambool, showing some real style in his first prep. He could've easily tackled a 2000m Maiden, but we'll have to settle for the mile this time around. Rezone had a promising debut at Ballarat and it won't be long before we see him stretching out over longer distances. Ready Tiger's been on fire lately, snagging 2nd and 3rd places in back-to-back races at Cranbourne. Ethan Brown's been riding him well, and he's back in the saddle this Thursday. Winged is coming off a solid 2nd place finish at Cranbourne, and this time he's got Ben Allen as his jockey.

In my next exacta, I'm looking at these 4 runners in Race 5 at Northam. Milyeannup had a rough start last time but came close to victory in the latest race, just missing out by a hair. Look for her to settle comfortably in the middle of the pack and give it her all – she's got a good shot at it. Snip of Gossip is getting closer to that elusive win. He put up a good run at this track and distance in his last outing, even after facing some tough conditions. Hart of Rome likes to push the pace and could surprise with a strong performance. And don't count out Whaitiri – she's got a solid track record, with a 23% place rate and she's placed in 6 out of 13 races at this distance.

At Grafton, I like this combo. Sea of Qi did pretty well at this track despite starting from a bad barrier last time. Now that he's fitter, he should do even better getting to this distance, especially since he's cool with the heavy track. Vetoed is coming back after a break, and she's got a solid track record for her first race back. Plus, she's no stranger to wet tracks. She recently aced a barrier trial here, so she's gonna have some fans rooting for her. Bertinelli's performance was just okay last time, but with a new jockey today, things could turn around. And keep an eye on Rum Revolution – he seems like he'll enjoy the 1420 metres a lot more.
