Get ready for some racing action around Australia on Thursday as we look at the top 3 meetings. We have you covered with 3 exacta bets lined up at Grafton, Pakenham Synthetic and Kembla Grange.
Exacta - Grafton - R8
1st: 5, 8, 1, 2
2nd: 5, 8, 1, 2
Compelling Truth: Last start, beat Foreign Brother (56kg) at Dubbo over 1100m at the starting price of $1.30. That was a good win and I like Compelling Truth on Thursday too, especially with Jake Pracey-Holmes on board from barrier 4. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.
Bomarea: I like the look of Bomarea in Race 8 at Grafton on Thursday. Previously won at Tamworth over 1000m, carrying 55kg. That was a really good win, so I think Bomarea should be tough to beat on Thursday too. I think its a real genuine each way chance.
Osamu: Last time this horse hit the track, Osamu put in a better effort, and that's something to take note of for Thursday's race. With James Orman riding, you know that Osamu has got a jockey who can handle business.
Immoral: Previously, it finished 10th of 12 at Doomben in a BM85 on May 25, 2024 over 1110m, 5.1 lengths behind My Snow Queen (52.5kg).
Exacta - Pakenham Synthetic - R8
1st: 7, 6, 3, 8
2nd: 7, 6, 3, 8
Four Ace: In his last race on June 23 at Cranbourne, he surged to the front, winning by 1.3 lengths. He carried 57kg and managed to beat Powerful Torque (59.5kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $3.10 odds. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
Charming Deel:
Charming Deel is first-up on Thursday. In his last race on February 4 at Sale, he surged to the front, winning by 1.3 lengths. He carried 57.5kg and managed to beat Discobay (57.5kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $3.10 odds. So, it's definitely in top form right now.
Shal Exceed: I like the look of Shal Exceed in Race 8 at Pakenham Synthetic on Thursday. Previously won at Wodonga over 1100m, carrying 60kg. That was a really good win, so I think Shal Exceed should be tough to beat on Thursday too. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.
Trial By Press: Trial By Press is first-up on Thursday. Previously, it finished 6th of 8 at Sale in a BM64 on January 14, 2024 over 1400m, 4.8 lengths behind Miss Keeler (59kg).
Exacta - Kembla Grange - R7
1st: 1, 2, 4, 7
2nd: 1, 2, 4, 7
Kiribati: With Latham on board last start, won at Hawkesbury (1000m). So hopefully that form continues into Thursday's race. On Thursday, Keagan Latham is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.
Rebel Dean: Previously, it finished 11 of 14 at Warwick Farm in a BM72 on June 26, 2024 over 1100m, 4.0 lengths behind One Destiny (54.5kg). But very good top 3 stats at the track.
Welcome Gypsy: Previously, it finished 5th of 9 at Canterbury in a BM72 on July 3, 2024 over 1100m, 4.0 lengths behind Pokerjack (56.5kg). Has enjoyed plenty of success at Kembla Grange with a 100% record of finishing in the top-three.
Amazing Nicci: Last start, beat Vainstream (58.5kg) at Nowra over 1000m at the starting price of $2.45. That was a good win and I like Amazing Nicci on Thursday too, especially with Jean Van Overmeire on board from barrier 6.
