Exotic Tips of the Day

Looking to place exotic bets on Thursday? Only Racing has you covered! We've got 3 exotic tips at the best tracks of the day: Sale and Hawkesbury.

Exacta - Sale - R6

1st: 7, 5, 11, 6

2nd: 7, 5, 11, 6

Naval Academy: Naval Academy is first-up on Thursday. Has a positive first-up record in its career.

Peace Treaty: Resuming on Thursday. Last race, Peace Treaty was 6th out of 10 at Flemington on April 25 on a soft track over 1100m, 4.5 lengths behind Pondalowie (56kg) with 58kg at $4.20. But it should improve here. First-up form looks good.

Pride Of Sullivan: Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 8 in the Barrier Trial-Open at Tatura on May 24. That race was over 850m on a good track and it came in 1.5 lengths behind Gray's Reward. Definitely among the winning chances.

Bold Print: Its latest race at Pakenham Synthetic BM70 on August 5, it managed to get 4th place out of 7, pretty good effort. Likes running first-up.

Exacta - Sale - R7

1st: 10, 2, 14, 4

2nd: 10, 2, 14, 4

Pardon My French: I'm a big fan of Pardon My French in Race 7 at Sale on Thursday. On July 26, won over 1247m at Geelong, carrying 57.5kg. That was nice win, so I believe that Pardon My French can win on Thursday as well.

Houso: Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Seymour with D W Stackhouse in the saddle. Looked good first-up and should be even fitter now.

Hanging Rock: Last race, Hanging Rock was 7th out of 12 at Pakenham Synthetic on July 29 on a synthetic track over 1200m, 2.7 lengths behind Irresistible Sir (58.5kg) with 57kg at $9.50. But it should improve here. First-up form looks good.

No New Tricks: Ready to win now. Finished second last start with Celine Gaudray on board at Cranbourne.

Exacta - Hawkesbury - R8

1st: 7, 1, 9, 12

2nd: 7, 1, 9, 12

Magnucat: Magnucat showed some promise at Canterbury last time. In it's last start, Magnucat placed 3rd out of 9 in a BM64 on August 7 over 1100m, on a soft track, just 2.5 lengths behind Bonita Queen (60kg) with 60.5kg at $4.60. Likes running first-up.

True To Form: I like the look of True To Form in Race 8 at Hawkesbury on Thursday. Previously won at Kembla Grange over 1300m, carrying 61kg. That was a really good win, so I think True To Form should be tough to beat on Thursday too. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

Audrey's Lane: Last time out, this horse made a late surge and finished a close second over 1000m at Hawkesbury, just behind the winner Thunderlips. Is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat. First-up form looks good.

Rip Off: In its last race at Wyong on August 4, it came out on top with a winning margin of 0.2 lengths. It was carrying 57.5kg and held off Conchiero (56.5kg), which was pretty good to watch at $2.70 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race.

  • With the Exacta, your payout depends on which of the Aussie TABs is in your area.
  • The Exacta usually pays out more than the Quinella since it's trickier to pick the horses in the right order.
  • Exacta's are a good bet if you're really confident in a horse to win, especially if it's a short-priced favourite.
