Blazing Guru: In its last race at Horsham on October 20, it came out on top with a winning margin of 3.5 lengths. It was carrying 57.5kg and held off Mash And Gravy (59.5kg), which was pretty good to watch at $3.00 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race.

Eight Martinis: Won at this track before and likes running in these conditions. Should be in the mix throughout the race.

Golden Garden: Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 9 in the BM58 at Warrnambool on October 21. That race was over 2350m on a soft track and it came in 4.2 lengths behind Olympic Theatre (69kg). Definitely among the winning chances.

Peaky Ridge: Last race, Peaky Ridge ran a place (2nd) at Ballarat over 2600m with Jarrod Fry on board, just finishing behind the winner (Kodiak Bear (60kg)). Should get a lot of confidence from that run and should be a good bet again.

Macy Moon: It hit the track on October 17 and Macy Moon put in a solid effort, finishing 5th out of 11. Thursday's race sees some good odds to have a crack, I think. With Jordan Childs on board, that gives me confidence too.

Mark Of The Man: Last run, it finished 3rd at Warrnambool over 1700m. Should be right in the thick of things.

Vitruvius: Drops in class for this race and has been resting for a few weeks. Usually runs well fresh so I think it can run a place.

Star Of Tavistock: Back from a spell and looking to make it 3 from 3 at this track. Racing very well last prep with a few wins over 2350m.

Cormac T: Has been good before when he was last third-up with a win and minor placing. 2kg jockey advantage in this race and back in class.

Hooligan Tommy: In great form at the moment and should be able to get a good run in this field. Comes off wins at Canberra and Scone over 1600m. Yet to race at this distance so that’s the only query.

Oakfield Hawk: Last time on the track, it placed 3rd out of 9 in the BM64 at Hawkesbury on October 17. That race was on a good track and it came in 2.6 lengths behind Irish Anthem (55kg). Should be in the mix.

Threw: Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Orange with Olivia Chambers in the saddle.
