Having hit the post twice in recent weeks, Jolly Good Fellow looks well placed to challenge here for Chris Waller. This is a horse that could develop into something pretty special but it needs to get the maiden tag off its back here.

Stablemate Banxi was also super close to landing a win last time out and it should be in the hunt once again here. Conditions are perhaps a better suit and this is a good horse on paper for Canterbury.

Waterhouse and Bott team up here with Gerringong and this debutant will be one to watch. Tim Clark on board looks to be a very good booking and whilst it is the first race of its career, its stock is certainly propelling it up the betting market.

VALUE BET - Regimental Colours - $5.50
Bjorn Baker saw Regimental Colours place impressively last time out here ar Canterbury and it looks to be bang in the mix again in this one, with its previously strong showing a big tick in the box.

Ciaron Maher will be pushing Cheval Savant into this one and having hit the post hard over this course and distance last time out, it will be bang in the hunt once again. It should be better for the run last time out and could be worth a go in a congested betting market.

Form has been poor from Kirikan of late however, it remains a supremely talented horse and it could come good at any stage. It struggled over this distance last time out but it could find a performance sooner rather than later.
