Recent form has been excellent for Hedonist and it looks to have found its ideal trip here at the 1000m mark. Obviously, this is a tough test at Moonee Valley but it tops the betting with good reason and it will be difficult to catch.

THE DANGER - Rubiquity - $3.50
Blake Shinn gets the nod on board the mercurial Rubiquity and that jockey booking feels significant in the grand scheme of the race. It won so impressively last time out but it remains to be seen if it can back that up here.

VALUE BET - Grinzinger Love - $4.60
Another horse in very good form here is Grinzinger Love, who will be relishing the chance to have a crack at this field. Over 1000m this should be frenetic, something that could play into the hands of Grinzinger Love.

BEST BET - Canara - $2.30
Chris Waller and Damian Lane have been waiting a long time for this horse to come good but finally Canara should break its duck here. Not winning its opening 11 races is obviously a red flag but this gets the nod as one of our best bets of the day.

THE DANGER - Puglia - $4.00
Two placings fom 2 outings have enabled Puglia to very much become a contender for this one. Pace isn't an issue but the 1600m trip may well be and it should be fascinating to see how Puglia goes here.

VALUE BET - Rogan - $6.50
Kiwi flyer Rogan has the makings of a very special horse and it should be firmly in the hunt in this one. Similarly, it hasn't had much luck from its previous three outings but it has the potential to feature here.

With an impressive win on debut bagged last time out, Spione looks to be firmly in the hunt to go back to back here. The trip here at Moonee Valley should suit and it is the market leader with good reason.

THE DANGER - Haraldus - $3.20
The Freedman yard have done plenty of work with Haraldus of late and it should return refreshed and ready to go here. Conditions should suit and it has the pace to lay down the gauntlet to Spione here at the Valley.

VALUE BET - Ranveer - $9.00
It has been a tricky spell for Ranveer, a horse with bags of potential but it can't seem to string any results together. It has a good record here at Moonee Valley though and if it gets a run at this field, it could be in the mix.
