In its recent race at Randwick-Kensington, United Kingdom came in third, not too far behind 1st and 2nd. After that run, it should have a good chance of running a place in this race. James McDonald is in good form and should be able to get a good run. Likes dry conditions, rates highly. Should enjoy running first-up as has been the case in its career. Prophet And Power showed form earlier this year, winning at this track and Pinjarra in January. It’s jumpouts have been positive for this prep, finishing 2nd and 3rd at this racecourse. It’s yet to finish outside the top 2 at Belmont and also likes the distance. Prophet And Power hasn’t won before (placed twice in 2 starts) when it’s first-up but I think this could be the race.

Last time out, this horse made a late surge and finished a close second over 1300m at Bendigo, just behind the winner Mahsay (57.5kg). It is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat. Has enjoyed plenty of success at Bendigo with a 100% record of finishing in the top-three. Loves dry conditions, the track at Bendigo should be nice. In winning form, don't look past it.
