Celestial Bling is back from a long spell and I think it can potentially win this race, or at least run a place. It has come second before when it was first-up in its racing career. Its last run was a year ago at Randwick when it ran 2nd over 1000m, just 0.1 lengths behind the winner (Manaal). Trial form at Randwick / Rosehill looks good as well.

J-Mac was on board the last run and won over 1800m at Randwick-Kensington. So I think that's a good form guide for Wednesday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight. Before that, Captain Maverick finished first at Warwick Farm in a BM72 on August 21, 2024 over 1600m. Distance shouldn't be an issue either, loves running 1800m. Has had success when running second-up, so I like its chances on Wednesday.

Last run, it finished 3rd at Seymour over 1600m. Should be right in the thick of things. Has had success before in dry conditions so the track conditions should suit. Also, Realika has placed at this distance before and should be better for the run after the Seymour race where it wasn’t far off.
