Grammar Lad is first-up on Wednesday. Has a positive first-up record in its career. So, I like the look of Grammar Lad in Race 2 at Sandown on Wednesday. Previously won at Pakenham over 1200m, carrying 58kg. That was a really good win, so I think Grammar Lad should be tough to beat on Wednesday too. A lot of winning form on dry tracks, the Sandown track should suit it nicely. Should enjoy running first-up as has been the case in its career.

I like the form of Deprivation for Race 3 at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. Won at Newcastle over 1250m on August 24. Before that, Deprivation finished first at Wyong in a Barrier Trial-Open on July 29, 2024, over 845m. Has been good before when it's first-up. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

Last run, it finished 3rd at Belmont Park over 2100m. Should be right in the thick of things. Previously, 1st of 10 at Belmont Park Cls 1 on August 7, 2024 over 2200m. The soft track should pose no problems.
