Curl Curl is back from a spell and looking to continue his impressive first-up form. He’s 1-1-1 in 3 career starts when he has been fresh before. So he loves running after a break. This track has suited him nicely too, he has 2 wins from 6 career starts and has only fallen out of the top 3 in 1 of those 6 races. His distance record is even better, he has a 100% place record when he runs the 900m sprint.

Zarizatycoon is coming off a tough run at Rosehill last start but I think he’ll bounce back in easier company at Orange. Previously, he won on debut and then followed that win with another victory at Mudgee on soft ground over 1200m. He’s running at the same distance on Friday and he should be able to produce a better result.
