Recommendation didn’t have its best run in the Manikato Stakes last start, finishing 8th. But I think this race is more suitable. Especially with Blake Shinn in the siddle. Shinny is undefeated in 3 starts with Recommendation so it’s a proven and winning combo. Also, a very good record at Caulfield with 3 wins and I think it can run a place in this field.

Last start, it tried hard but was outgunned, finishing 4th of 11 at Rosehill in an Open over 2000m, 4.4 lengths behind Touristic (54kg). But he is back from a spell and has won 3 times when it has been first-up before in 6 starts. Also loves racing at Rosehill and has plenty of winning form on good tracks. So, I expect this runner to finish strong and should offer good value odds for punters on Saturday.

Cloudland showed form on September 28 at Toowoomba, placing 2nd out of 9 in a Cls 6 on a heavy track, just 0.2 lengths behind Poetic Drama (55kg) with 57.5kg at $5.00. After that race, I think Cloudland can potentially improve and possibly get the win this time. Previously, 3rd of 7 at Eagle Farm Cls 6 on September 14, 2024, over 1200m. Looking for a 4th straight place and I think it is very good odds to get the job done.

After an exhilarating weekend of Group 1 races, the excitement continues this Saturday at the track in Caulfield, Victoria.
